Bayview Village

Bessarion is a station on Line 4 Sheppard of the Toronto subway. Opened in 2002, it was consistently ranked the least-used station on the heavy-rail portion of the subway system (serving an average of 2,500 passengers per weekday between 2008 and 2018), until being displaced by Downsview Park station in 2018. Bayview Village Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 440,000-square-foot (41,000 m2) shopping mall is located at the northeast corner of Bayview Avenue and Sheppard Avenue in the former city of North York. It has a total of 110 stores, the anchor stores being Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart and LCBO.

Concord Park Place is a 45-acre (18 ha) multi-tower condominium complex under construction by developer Concord Adex in Toronto, Ontario. The development is the second largest master-planned community in Toronto, behind CityPlace on Toronto's waterfront. Upon completion, the development will have 20 residential towers with around 10,000 residents, 2 new schools and a community centre. The site is located between Sheppard Avenue, Leslie Street, Highway 401, and Bessarion Road, and creates a south extension of the Bayview Village neighbourhood of North York.

Robbins Hebrew Academy (RHA), formerly known as United Synagogue Day School, is a private elementary (Nursery to Grade 5) and middle school (Grade 6 to Grade 8) Jewish day school in Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 1957 as the Foundation Day School at the Beth Tzedec Synagogue, it was renamed United Synagogue Day School in 1961. In 2010, after an endowment, the school changed its name to Robbins Hebrew Academy, as a condition to accepting the endowment, by Larry Robbins. It was the first Jewish Day School in Toronto to be CAIS (www.cais.ca) accredited.

Beth Tikvah Synagogue (Hebrew: בית תקוה) is an egalitarian synagogue in the Willowdale neighbourhood of Toronto, with a membership of approximately 1100 families. Although the worship style is traditional-conservative, the synagogue formally disaffiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism in 2013.The synagogue was founded on April 14, 1964, as Shaarei Tikvah, after a synagogue in Amsterdam that had been razed by the Nazis. It became Beth Tikvah after a merger in 1966 with the Bayview Synagogue Association. Rabbi Avraham Feder served as the first rabbi of the synagogue from 1967 until 1981 when he moved to Israel and continued to serve as Rabbi Emeritus. Rabbi Feder died on Feb. 8, 2018.Srul Irving Glick, the famed composer and conductor, served as Beth Tikvah's composer-in-residence from 1969 to 2002.

Oriole was a provincial electoral district in North York, Ontario, Canada. It was created from York Mills riding in 1975 and merged into Willowdale and Don Valley East ridings after 1999. There were three members who represented this riding during its history, most notably Elinor Caplan and her son David Caplan, both of whom held cabinet posts during their incumbency.

North York General Hospital (NYGH) is a teaching hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Primarily serving the North York district, as well as southern York Region, it offers acute care, ambulatory and long-term services at multiple sites. It is one of Canada's leading community academic hospitals and is affiliated with the University of Toronto. NYGH is one of the three constituent hospitals of the Peters-Boyd Academy of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.

Old Cummer GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network located in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a stop on the Richmond Hill line train service and offers service to Union Station in downtown Toronto.In September 2004 construction began on a rehabilitated station building, providing improved lighting and providing accessible features into the station building. As of June 2023, the station building is currently not staffed at any time and is closed to the public, but small pedestrian shelters are available. The current GO schedule only has trains stopping during certain periods. Monday to Friday, southbound trains are only available between 6:32 and 8:32, arriving every hour. Northbound trains are only available 16:18 and 19:18, again arriving every hour.

Oriole GO Station is a small train station on GO Transit's Richmond Hill line. It is located under the Highway 401 overpass, west of Leslie Street in the North York district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is about half a kilometre south of Leslie subway station on Line 4 Sheppard of the Toronto Transit Commission. A pedestrian walkway along the east side of tracks connects the north end of the platform to Esther Shiner Boulevard and a short walk along Old Leslie Street leads to the upper, automated entrance to the subway station. It has been proposed several times that the GO station should be moved to allow for a direct connection with the subway.There is a narrow footbridge over the track, allowing pedestrians to walk between the station to Woodsworth Road. This bridge will be replaced by a new, wider bridge farther south. The 30-metre (98 ft) metre bridge will be enclosed in a mesh safety screen and have an anti-slip floor.Nearby points of interest include the Concord Park Place condominium complex, IKEA North York, and North York General Hospital.

German Mills Creek is a river in the municipalities of Markham, Richmond Hill, Toronto and Vaughan in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Great Lakes Basin and is a left tributary of the East Branch Don River. It originates in Vaughan (near Bathurst Street and the King–Vaughan Town Line), flows south through Richmond Hill and Markham, and empties into the East Branch Don River in the East Don Parklands in Toronto, south of Steeles Avenue between Bayview Avenue and Leslie Street. It is part of a number of streams, swamps and swales located near the Oak Ridges Moraine. The creek's approximate length is 10 kilometres (6 mi). It is named after the pioneer settlement German Mills, founded by William Berczy in 1796. The settlement disappeared after a few years, but the creek retained the name. The Richmond Hill portions of the river snake through residential development with a very narrow greenbelt on either side of the creek. The Markham sections run through a mix of residential, commercial and light industrial areas. Duncan Woods Creek is a small left tributary that flows northwest to German Mills Creek in Toronto, at the southeast corner of Steeles Avenue and Leslie Street.There are a few undeveloped portions along the creek, mostly as parks in Markham.
