Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) is a Canadian private chiropractic school located in the North York district of Toronto, founded in 1945. CMCC awards Doctor of Chiropractic degrees under ministerial consent from the provincial Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

German Mills Creek is a river in the municipalities of Markham, Richmond Hill, Toronto and Vaughan in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Great Lakes Basin and is a left tributary of the East Branch Don River. It originates in Vaughan (near Bathurst Street and the King–Vaughan Town Line), flows south through Richmond Hill and Markham, and empties into the East Branch Don River in the East Don Parklands in Toronto, south of Steeles Avenue between Bayview Avenue and Leslie Street. It is part of a number of streams, swamps and swales located near the Oak Ridges Moraine. The creek's approximate length is 10 kilometres (6 mi). It is named after the pioneer settlement German Mills, founded by William Berczy in 1796. The settlement disappeared after a few years, but the creek retained the name. The Richmond Hill portions of the river snake through residential development with a very narrow greenbelt on either side of the creek. The Markham sections run through a mix of residential, commercial and light industrial areas. Duncan Woods Creek is a small left tributary that flows northwest to German Mills Creek in Toronto, at the southeast corner of Steeles Avenue and Leslie Street.There are a few undeveloped portions along the creek, mostly as parks in Markham.

Bayview Woods-Steeles is a neighbourhood located in the northern tip of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the district of North York. It is part of federal and provincial electoral district Don Valley North, and Toronto electoral ward 17: Don Valley North. In 2006, it had a population of 13,295. The area is divided by a series of ravines, and is often not considered a neighbourhood unto itself. Rather the sections are more often divided between the neighbouring areas of Hillcrest Village, Bayview Village, and Newtonbrook. The neighbourhood is bordered by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Leslie Street to the east, Bayview Avenue to the west, and Finch Avenue East to the south. Several branches of the Don River meet in the middle of this neighbourhood and there is no shortage of greenspace as a result, though much is not usable, since it consists mostly of ravines. This neighbourhood is also notable for varying greatly in elevation, with the section in Cummer Avenue between Bayview and Leslie being especially steep.

A. Y. Jackson Secondary School is a secondary school for grades 9 to 12 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was opened in 1970 by the North York Board of Education, and is now operated by its successor, the Toronto District School Board. The school was named after A. Y. Jackson, a Canadian painter and one of the founders of the Group of Seven.

Don Valley North (French: Don Valley-Nord) is a provincial electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.Don Valley North consists of the part of the City of Toronto lying within the following limits: commencing at the intersection of Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue East; east to Victoria Park Avenue, south to Highway 401, west to the Don River East Branch, north to Finch Avenue East, west along Finch Avenue to Bayview Avenue, and then north along Bayview Avenue to the point of commencement. This riding was created from parts of Willowdale and Don Valley East during the 2012 electoral redistribution.

Don Valley North (French: Don Valley-Nord) is a federal electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 1997 and since 2015. Don Valley North covers the area of the City of Toronto bounded by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Highway 401 to the south, Bayview Avenue to the west, and Victoria Park Avenue to the east. Former North York city council member Barbara Greene, a Progressive Conservative, was elected as its first Member of Parliament in the 1988 election. She was defeated by Liberal Sarkis Assadourian in the 1993 election. This riding was originally created in 1987, and was first used in the federal election of 1988. It was created from parts of Don Valley East and York—Scarborough ridings. In 1996, the riding was abolished through redistribution, and divided between Don Valley East and Willowdale ridings. This riding was re-created from parts of Willowdale and Don Valley East during the 2012 electoral redistribution. As per the 2016 Census, Don Valley North is one of the only three City of Toronto ridings where Chinese is both the most frequent ethnic origin (32.4% of the population) and most frequent ethnicity group (31.3%, while White/Europeans come second with 29.3% of the population).

Hillcrest Village is a neighbourhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the northern district of North York. It is bordered by Finch to the South, Leslie Street to the West, Steeles to the North and Victoria Park to the East. Both neighbourhoods share the Don Valley as a point of reference in the Eastern border of the neighbourhoods. The Don valley provides a hillside landscape in the east end of the neighbourhood. In conjunction with Duncan Creek and numerous parks the area has some natural splendour.

In 2006, it had a population of 15,370.The area is bordered on the north by Finch Avenue East, on the west by Bayview Avenue, on the east by Leslie Street, and on the south by Highway 401, and also including the grounds of North York General Hospital, east of Leslie in the neighbourhood's southeast corner, according to the City of Toronto's definition. The Bayview Village Association regards the east boundary as the Don River (east branch) and the south boundary as Sheppard Avenue East, thereby excluding land between the Don River and Leslie, Sheppard and Highway 401.

Don Valley Village is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former suburb of North York. Located north of Highway 401 and bisected by Don Mills Road, it is bounded by Sheppard Avenue to the south, Leslie Street to the west, Finch Avenue to the north and Highway 404 to the east. Like the nearby Don River Valley (to the east), the neighbourhood has hill and dale topography.

Seneca Polytechnic, formerly Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology or Seneca College for short, is a multi-campus public polytechnic in the Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough, Ontario. It offers full-time and part-time programs at the baccalaureate, diploma, certificate, and graduate levels attended primarily by international students, from whom it draws 80 per cent of its tuition revenue. Seneca Polytechnic had Canada's largest enrolment of 9,318 international students in 2020-2021.

Georges Vanier Secondary School (also named as Georges Vanier SS, GVSS, Georges Vanier or Vanier) and Woodbine Middle School (shortly called as Woodbine M.S., WMS and Woodbine) are two public schools consisting of a junior high school (Grades 6 to 8) and high school (Grades 9 to 12) located in North York district of Toronto, Ontario. Owned and Operated by the North York Board of Education (which is now merged into the Toronto District School Board), the school was named after Canada's first French-Canadian Governor General, Georges Vanier. Attached to the Vanier-Woodbine campus is the North-East Year Round Alternative Centre.
