Wattenberg, Tyrol

Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds) is an experience attraction created by André Heller for the crystal glass manufacturer Swarovski, consisting of a park, art museum, retail area, and restaurant. It opened in 1995 and is located in the Austrian Tyrol, in the town of Wattens, Innsbruck-Land District, where the company was founded and still has its headquarters today. Kristallwelten, together with the Swarovski Kristallwelten Store in Innsbruck and Vienna, form D. Swarovski Tourism Services GmbH.

Wattens is a market town of the Innsbruck-Land District in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is chiefly known as home of the Swarovski crystal glass company.

The Wattenbach or Wattenerbach is a river of Tyrol, Austria, a tributary of the Inn. The Wattenbach has its origin in the Tux Prealps. The rivers Mölsbach and Lizumbach merge in the valley bottom near Lager Walchen at a height of 1,410 m (AA) thus forming the origin of the Wattenbach. It then flows from the Wattentaler Lizum almost due north through the Wattental valley. After 11.5 kilometres (7.1 mi) it empties near Wattens into the Inn.

Fritzens is a municipality in the district Innsbruck country in Tyrol (Austria). It lies 16 km east of Innsbruck on the left side of the Inn River. The Iron Age Fritzens-Sanzeno culture is named for archaeological finds from the village.

Kolsass is a municipality in the district Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located about 17 km east of Innsbruck. The location was first mentioned as „Quolesazz or Cholsasz" in 1050.

Volders is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 12 km east of Innsbruck on the southern side of the Inn River.

The Wattental is a southern side valley of the Inn valley. The valley, through which the Wattenbach stream flows, is incised deeply into the quartz-phyllite rock of the Tux Prealps. The two dispersed settlements of Wattenberg and Vögelsberg (in the municipality of Wattens) sprawl across the outer part of the valley. At the head of the valley is the Wattentaler Lizum and its military training area of Lizum Walchen which is run by the Austrian Armed Forces. The Wattentaler Lizum lies entirely on the territory of Wattenberg. The Wattental produces a high level of water power thanks to its large catchment area which is why internationally successful firms such as Swarovski, and Wattenspapier have been established in the village of Wattens by the River Inn. The Wattental was and is therefore the reason behind the economic boom of the market village of Wattens which has made it one of the wealthiest municipalities in Austria. The valley is a popular recreation area. The summits of the Rotwandspitze, Hirzer and Hahneburger have outstanding views and can be climbed from bases in the valley. In the upper part of the valley (Mölsberg) access is limited by the military training area. On the first Sunday after the Assumption a service, the Mölsberg Mass (Mölsbergmesse) takes place at the summit cross of the Mölsberg in the middle of the Wattentaler Lizum, which is a memorial service to those from the valley who fell in the two world wars. On that day the training area is opened to private vehicles; normally it is out-of-bounds. At the head of the valley is a small lake, the Mölssee.

Fallbach is a river of Tyrol, Austria, a left tributary of the Inn at Baumkirchen. It should not be confused with the similarly named river, a left Inn tributary in Innsbruck. The source of the Fallbach is north of Absam in the Gleirsch-Halltal Chain.

Kolsassberg is a municipality in the district Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located about 19 km east of Innsbruck and 2 km above Kolsass. The location was founded around 1196.

Weer is a municipality in the district of Schwaz in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the east of the Weerbach. Until World War II Weer was a farming village. After World War II, due to developing industrialisation in the peripherals (mainly Schwaz and Innsbruck) it became much bigger. The area of Weer is 561 ha, of which 330 ha are used for extended agriculture. The first settlers were Illyrian, later house names also refer to presence of Romans. For four centuries Weer then was located in the Roman province of Rhaetia. The village is named first in 1075, its name derives from a Celtic-Illyrian root. Around 1500, because of the enormous silver mining industry in Schwaz, the outlying villages were also explored for natural resources. Thus, a small gold washery was established in Weer. The crest of the village still shows a gold washing tool at the bottom.

Gnadenwald is a municipality in the eastern part of the district Innsbruck country. The village consists of several hamlets and the church villages: St. Martin and St. Michael.
