Ōmiya-shuku

Ōmiya Station (大宮駅, Ōmiya-eki) is a major interchange railway station in Ōmiya-ku, Saitama, Japan, jointly operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Saitama New Urban Transit and private railway operator Tōbu Railway. It is the busiest JR East station in Saitama Prefecture.

Ōmiya (大宮区, Ōmiya-ku) is one of ten wards of the city of Saitama, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and is located in the northeastern part of the city. As of 1 March 2021, the ward had an estimated population of 119,298 and a population density of 9,300 persons per km². Its total area was 12.80 square kilometres (4.94 sq mi). Although Urawa-ku is the governmental center of Saitama City, Ōmiya-ku is the most active commercial and business centre in both Saitama City and Saitama Prefecture thanks to its transport infrastructure, especially railways connected at Ōmiya Station.

Kokusai Gakuin Saitama Junior College (国際学院埼玉短期大学, Kokusai-gakuin saitama tanki daigaku) is a private junior college in Saitama, Saitama, Japan, established in 1983. Though the institution is coeducational, female students greatly outnumbers male students. In July 2004 it was selected for Good Practice, a grant program by the Ministry of Education.

Omiya Law School (大宮法科大学院大学, Ōmiya Hōkadaigakuin Daigaku) is a graduate level law school in Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The school closed in 2015.

Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then was officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its maximum capacity is 36,500, making it the third-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500. The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting. It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football. It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.

Chūō-ku (中央区, lit. "Central ward") is one of ten wards of the city of Saitama, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and is located in the northern part of the city. As of 1 March 2021, the ward had an estimated population of 102,364 and a population density of 12,000 persons per km2. Its total area is 8.39 square kilometres (3.24 sq mi). Despite its name, it is not the administrative or the commercial centre of the city, roles which are designated to Urawa-ku and Ōmiya-ku respectively.

Ikazuchi stable (雷部屋, Ikazuchi-beya), formerly known as Irumagawa stable from 1993 to 2023, is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Dewanoumi ichimon or group of stables. It was set up in January 1993 by former sekiwake Tochitsukasa, who branched off from Kasugano stable. The first sekitori produced by the stable was Oyamato (also known as Shirasaki) in January 1994. As of February 2023 it had seven wrestlers.
