The municipality comprises the towns of Jabbeke proper, Snellegem, Stalhille, Varsenare and Zerkegem. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 13,572 inhabitants. The total area is 53.76 km2 (20.76 sq mi), giving a population density of 252 inhabitants per km².

Hertog Jan is a restaurant first in Bruges, Belgium and from July 2014 on in Loppem - Zedelgem near Bruges. It is led by chefs Gert De Mangeleer and Joachim Boudens. It is rated with 3 stars by the Michelin Red Guide. As of 2012 one of only three restaurants in the country Belgium to be awarded such an honour. On December 22, 2018 Hertog Jan closed its doors.

The Koninklijk Atheneum Vijverhof (Koninklijk Atheneum II, its administration name) (Royal Athenaeum Vijverhof in English) is a secondary school situated in Sint-Michiels, a suburb of Bruges, Belgium. It is part of the school group "Brugge-Oostkust" (Bruges-Eastcoast in English). The school offers education in the ASO (General Secondary Education) division. There is a free choice of religion at the school.

Klokke Stadion, from 1931 on known as Albert Dyserynck Stadion, was a multi-use stadium in Bruges, Belgium. It was the home ground of the Club Brugge K.V. until the "Olympia Park" (current Jan Breydel Stadium named in 2000) opened in 1975. The stadium held 25,000 spectators. It was named after Albert Dyserynck, who was president from 1919 to 1931 and had donated the property to the Club. In the popular language, this stadion keeps the name of "Klokke" after a so-called pub in front of the main entrance. "Klokke" in Flemish dialect is "a clock".

Jan Breydel Stadium (Dutch: Jan Breydelstadion, pronounced [jɑm ˈbrɛidəlˌstaːdijɔn]) is a multi-purpose stadium in Sint-Andries, Bruges, Belgium. The city-owned stadium is the home stadium of two top-flight association football clubs, Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge. It is used mainly for football matches, which cost between €5 and €60/seat/match. The stadium was built in 1975. It currently has 29,042 seats. It is named after Jan Breydel, an instigator of the Bruges Matins, the insurgency that led to the Battle of the Golden Spurs. Prior to 1999 and the Euro 2000 Championship the stadium was known as Olympiastadion [oːˈlɪmpijaːˌstaːdijɔn], the Olympic stadium in Dutch, and had 18,000 seats. During December 2015 the pitch was resurfaced with an Italian proprietary hybrid grass (a mix of natural and artificial grass) called Mixto.

Brugge railway station (Dutch: Station Brugge, French: Gare de Bruges), officially Brugge, is the main railway station in Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium. The station opened on 12 August 1838 on railway lines 50A, 51 and 66. The current building has been in use since 1939. The station is one of the busiest in Belgium. Train services are operated by the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB).

The Arrondissement of Bruges (Dutch: Arrondissement Brugge; French: Arrondissement de Bruges) is one of the eight administrative arrondissements in the Province of West Flanders, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Bruges also comprises the municipalities of the Arrondissement of Ostend, most of the Arrondissement of Tielt (except the municipalities of Meulebeke, Dentergem, Oostrozebeke and Wielsbeke), as well as the municipality of Lichtervelde (in the Arrondissement of Roeselare).

St. Andrew's Abbey, Bruges (Dutch: Sint-Andriesabdij Brugge) was a Benedictine abbey in Sint-Andries, Bruges, Belgium, which was destroyed in the French Revolution. Its modern successor St. Andrew's Abbey, Zevenkerken (Dutch: Sint-Andriesabdij van Zevenkerken), founded in 1899–1900, is a Benedictine abbey of the Congregation of the Annunciation.
