Vilassar de Dalt (Catalan pronunciation: [biləˈsa ðə ˈðal]) is a village in Catalonia, Spain, in the province of Barcelona and the comarca of Maresme. The name comes from the Roman name Villa Azari, later changed to Vilassar. In the 20th century, it split into two villages: Vilassar in the hills (de Dalt), and Vilassar by the Sea (de Mar).

The Roman ovens of the Fornaca are ancient Roman structures in the archaeological site of Fornaca at Vilassar de Dalt, Catalonia, Spain; they were dedicated to the industrial production of large ceramic materials. Basing on their typology, the materials found in the excavation, and study of their magnetic properties, archaeologists have dated the ovens 1 and 2 to the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. The name Fornaca, documented for the first time in 1290 at the castle of Speculum Vilassar, gives clues about the antiquity of the area of industrial production.

The purpose of the Vilassar de Dalt Archive-Museum (Catalan: Museu-Arxiu de Vilassar de Dalt) is the conservation and dissemination of the archaeological, architectural, historical, natural and cultural heritage of Vilassar de Dalt and its environment. Located in the Can Banús farmhouse, records for which date back as far as the 14th century, its main collection can be broken down into four categories: archaeology, textiles, history and the historic archive. Founded in 1961, the Archive-Museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network and houses the Serralada Litoral Park Documentation Centre. Its collections are brought to the public as temporary exhibitions produced in-house and organised in sections: history, photography, textiles, natural sciences and archaeology. In addition, the Archive-Museum manages the archaeological site of the Roman ovens of the Fornaca.

The Cau del Cargol Shells of the World Museum is a museum containing a large private collection of shells; it is situated in Vilassar de Dalt (Catalonia, Spain). The collection includes over 16,000 worldwide species of mollusc shells, from marine, terrestrial and freshwater habitats. The museum was created in the year 1950, when its founder Jaume Bot i Arenas (1904-1983), started to exhibit his own collection to the public. Later he expanded his collection by acquiring other people's collections. He was able to reunite the collections of several different naturalists; material that had been collected from 1850 to 1983. The Cau del Cargol museum houses one of the biggest shell collections that is open to the public. About one thousand shell specimens are displayed in a room which has been recently renovated. The museum is often visited by classes from regional schools that are studying natural history and zoology. The museum is open to visitors on the first Sunday of every month, from 11 am to 2 pm, and at other times by special request.

The Vilassar de Mar Municipal Museum (Catalan: Museu Municipal de Vilassar de Mar) is a local museum in Vilassar de Mar comprising two facilities: The Marina Museum, focusing on local history and placing special emphasis on its connection with the nautical world, and the Monjo Museum, which tells the story behind the legacy of Vilassar de Mar sculptor Enric Monjo. The Vilassar de Mar Municipal Museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network.

The aim of Premià de Dalt Museum is to compile, study and disseminate the rich heritage of Premià de Dalt (Maresme) to be found in archaeological, archival, architectural and urban elements. The museum, which is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network, is based on a project to create a museum that is open, fun and participative.The museum is located in one of the buildings of the Mas Figueres estate, dating back to the 13th century, although the area the museum is housed in seems to be from the 15th century.

The town is both a tourist centre and a dormitory town for Barcelona, and is also known for its horticulture. The main N-II road and a RENFE railway line run through the town, while a local road connects the municipality with the C-32 autopista at Vilassar de Dalt and Mataró and Barcelona. The famous canned food company DANI is based in Vilassar de Mar coming from a Vilassar family.

Premià de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [pɾəmiˈa ðə ˈmaɾ]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between El Masnou and Vilassar de Mar, to the north-east of Barcelona. The town is both a tourist centre and a dormitory town for Barcelona. Like almost all municipalities of Maresme, Premià de Mar has been historically very well connected with the rest of the comarca and with Barcelona thanks to old Camí Ral (Royal Way) (actual N-II main road) and railroad (Barcelona-Mataró railroad route (1848) was the first to be constructed in all the Iberian Peninsula). Communications have been enhanced in recent years with the construction (1969) of the C-32's Barcelona-Mataró section, also the first autopista (highway) to be constructed in all the Iberian Peninsula. The town centre has buildings in a wide range of styles: neoclassical, modernista, noucentista and simply eclectic. The church of Sant Cristòfol has a baroque doorway with maritime motifs.

Argentona is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the south-east side of the granite Litoral range, to the north-west of Mataró. The town is both a tourist centre and a notable horticultural centre. A local road links the municipality with Cabrera de Mar and with the main N-II road at Vilassar de Mar. The town centre has buildings in a wide range of styles. The late gothic church of Sant Julià was restored by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. The same architect designed Casa Gari, a private residence adjoining the chapel of Sant Miquel del Cros, a work in the style of Antoni Gaudí by Lluís Bonet (1929). There are several buildings from the 16th to the 17th centuries, as well as the Roman chapel of La Mare de Déu del Viver and the benedictine priory of Sant Pere de Clarà. There is an interesting museum dedicated to water jugs, the Argentona Water Jug Museum, in which there are exhibited more than 700 pieces, including four ceramic works by Pablo Picasso. The town festival (Festa Major) occurs every 4 August, to celebrate Saint Dominic. The mayor of this town is Eudald Calvo Català.

The Premià de Mar Printing Museum (Catalan: Museu Municipal de l'Estampació de Premià de Mar), located in the old gas factory of the town, is a museum dedicated to explaining the history of textile printing in Premià de Mar and all of Catalonia. It is part of Science and Technology Museum of Catalonia and the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network. Its main objective is to expose samples and objects related to textile printing and to explain the techniques used over time, as well as to highlight the important role that this economic activity has played in the past as a driver of industrialisation in Catalonia.
