Shefford Woodlands

Winding Wood is a hamlet and a wood in the West Berkshire district, in the English county of Berkshire. It is south of the M4 motorway and north of the larger hamlet of Clapton.

East Garston is a village and civil parish on the River Lambourn, about 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north of Hungerford in West Berkshire. The river flows through the village, dividing many houses from the main road, so that each has a bridge over the river to the front door.

It also covers the village of Shefford Woodlands, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-west of Great Shefford, near Junction 14 on the M4 motorway.

Denford Park is a country house and surrounding estate in the English county of Berkshire, within the civil parish of Kintbury. The estate lies near to the A4 road, and is located approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north-east of Hungerford. Denford House was extended in 1832 for George Henry Cherry who bought it from William Hallett Esq the original owner, being designed by the architect, Jeffery Wyattville. It was the home of Apsley Cherry-Garrard, the Antarctic explorer. Between 1967 and 2002, the building housed Norland College. In 2002 Denford Park was purchased by Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and is the location of his Denford Stud.

Kennet and Lambourn Floodplain is a 23.4-hectare (58-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in six widely separated areas in the floodplains of the River Lambourn in Berkshire and the River Kennet in Wiltshire, England. It is a Nature Conservation Review site and part of the Kennet and Lambourn Floodplain Special Area of Conservation. One of the areas, Rack Marsh, is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.These six areas all have fen or swamp with large numbers of Desmoulin's whorl snail, which is listed in the British Red Data Book as it is a nationally rare and declining species. One of the areas, Eddington Marsh, also has unimproved species-rich grassland with several nationally scarce invertebrates, such as the flies Pherbellia griseola, Psacadina verbekei, Platypalpus niger and Oxycera morrisi.

St Thomas' Church is a redundant Church of England parish church at East Shefford in the English county of Berkshire. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands in an isolated position at the end of a private drive overlooking the River Lambourn, to the southeast of the village of Great Shefford.

Woodlands St Mary is a small village in the English county of Berkshire. The village is situated in the civil parish of Lambourn, and is 3 miles (4.8 km) to the south of the village of Lambourn, and 1 mile (1.6 km) from Lambourn Woodlands. The parish is within the unitary authority of West Berkshire, close to the border between the counties of Berkshire and Wiltshire.
