South District (Chinese: 南區; pinyin: Nán Qū) is an urban district in Taichung, Taiwan.

Daan King Building, or Ta Ann King Building (Chinese: 大安國王大樓; pinyin: Dà'ān guówáng dàlóu), is a skyscraper office building located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. The height of the building is 151 m (495 ft), with a floor area of 56,850 m2 (611,900 sq ft), and it comprises 42 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The building was completed in 1994 and was one of the earliest skyscrapers in Taichung as well as the first building to reach more than 40 floors in the city. Daan King Building and Daan International Building located on the opposite side of the road are commonly known as Taichung Twin Towers, as the two buildings have almost the same appearance, however their completion dates are different by three years. As of January 2021, it is the 20th tallest building in Taichung.

The National Library of Public Information (traditional Chinese: 國立公共資訊圖書館; simplified Chinese: 国立公共资讯图书馆; pinyin: Guólì Gōnggòng Zīxùn Túshūguǎn) is a public library in South District, Taichung, Taiwan.

National Chung Hsing University (NCHU; Chinese: 國立中興大學) is a research-led comprehensive university in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. Currently, NCHU is among the four universities of the Taiwan Comprehensive University System, a research-led university alliance in Taiwan.

Wuquan (Chinese: 五權車站; pinyin: Wǔquán Chēzhàn) is a railway station located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is owned by the Taiwan Railways Administration and is on the Taichung Line. It opened on October 28, 2018. The station is categorized as a B-class local station and is served by local trains only. The name means "five powers" is derived from nearby Wuquan Road, which references Taiwan's five branches of government.

Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU; Chinese: 中山醫學大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tiong-san I-ha̍k Tāi-ha̍k) is a medical university located in South District, Taichung, Taiwan. Chung Shan Medical University Hospital is affiliated with the university. CSMU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of medicine, dentistry, nursing, and health sciences. CSMU has established partnerships with more than 60 universities and institutions worldwide, including the United States, Europe, Japan, and China. The university has also established a dual-degree program with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.

Lin Family Ancestral Shrine (Chinese: 林氏宗祠; pinyin: Línshì Zōngcí) is an ancestral shrine located in East District, Taichung City, Taiwan. Built in 1930, the shrine is protected as a city monument.
