The Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery (French: Mémorial de l'abolition de l'esclavage) is a memorial on the Quai de la Fosse in Nantes, France. The site memorializes the victims of Nantes' active role in the slave trade. The memorial, the largest such site in the world, was dedicated on March 25, 2012.

Notre-Dame de Bon-Port is a Roman Catholic basilica located in Nantes, France. The church was constructed in 1846 by the architects Seheult and Joseph-Fleury Chenantais. Its official name is Église de Saint-Louis (Basilica of Saint-Louis), though it is rarely known by this name.

The Musée Dobrée is a museum in Nantes, in the quartier Graslin in the immediate outskirts of the city centre and very close to the city's Natural History Museum. It was given to the city by Thomas Dobrée (13 August 1810 – 1895) and now belongs to the Conseil général de la Loire-Atlantique. In January 2010, the Conseil général began a project to restructure and modernise the museum, which is planned for completion in 2023.

Maillé-Brézé is a T 47-class destroyer (escorteur d'escadre) of the French Navy. She was built by Arsenal de Lorient in Lorient, commissioned on 4 May 1957 and named after the French admiral Jean Armand de Maillé-Brézé (1619–1646).

Théâtre Graslin is a theatre and opera house in the city of Nantes, France, built in a new district of the city in the late 18th century by the local architect Mathurin Crucy, and named after the owner of the land, Jean-Louis Graslin. Constructed in the Italian style, the auditorium holds 823 people. Inaugurated on 23 March 1788, it quickly became a major opera house for the city which nowadays, along with the Grand Théâtre d'Angers, combines with Angers to form a joint Angers-Nantes opera. Théâtre Graslin was destroyed by fire 1796, but it was reconstructed to coincide with the 1811 visit by Emperor Napoleon. It was restored again in 2003 and continues to be used for opera and other performances.

The Passage Pommeraye is a small shopping arcade in central Nantes, France, named after its property developer, Louis Pommeraye. Construction started at the end of 1840 and was completed on 4 July 1843. The Passage Pommeraye is a passage between two streets, the rue Santeuil and rue de la Fosse, with one 9.40 m higher than the other. Midway, there is a flight of steps and the mall then continues on another floor. Two architects, Jean-Baptiste Buron and Hippolyte Durand Gasselin, contributed to its design, which is very elaborate and includes renaissance style sculptures. The Passage Pommeraye has been classified as a historic monument since 1976.

The Palais de la Bourse is a building on place du Commerce in Nantes, France, begun at the end of the 18th century and completed in the 19th century. It was rebuilt at the end of the 20th century to house a branch of Fnac.

Lycée Gabriel Guist'hau is a senior high school/sixth-form college in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France. It was originally opened in October 1882 as a school for girls. It became coeducational in 1970.

The arrondissement of Nantes is an arrondissement of France in the Loire-Atlantique department in the Pays de la Loire region. It has 76 communes. Its population is 830,509 (2016), and its area is 1,958.7 km2 (756.3 sq mi).

The Hôtel de la Marine, originally called Hôtel Massion, is a neo-classical and "neo-Louis-XV" style private mansion (hôtel particulier) built in 1874, located in Nantes, France, at 2 Place Général-Mellinet between the boulevard Paul-Langevin and rue de Belleville, in the Dervallières neighborhood (which is in the Zola district). The building was listed as a French Monument historique (historical monument) in 1988 and 2011.

Tour Bretagne (Brittany Tower in English) opened on November 18, 1976, at 17:00, is a 37-story skyscraper situated in downtown Nantes between a main thoroughfare, Cours des 50 Otages, and Place Bretagne (Brittany square). With a total height of 144 meters (472 feet), it dominates the skyline of the city of Nantes and is the third tallest building in France outside of Paris, after Tour Part-Dieu in Lyon and CMA CGM Tower in Marseilles. Built on the water tank, the antennas reach 25 metres (82 ft) above the top floor. Initiated by André Morice then Mayor of Nantes, the building was conceived by French architect Claude Devorsine in the 1960s. By the time of its completion in the 1970s, public aesthetics had changed and the building was an economic failure, remaining mostly empty for a long time. It later became used for government offices.
