Joshibi High School of Art and Design (女子美術大学付属高等学校・中学校, Joshibijutsu Daigaku Fuzoku Kōtōgakkō Chūgakkō) abbreviated Joshibi (女子美), is a private school for girls located in Tokyo, Japan. Joshibi especially emphasizes fine arts and design studies. Joshibi graduates are actively involved in various field in and out of Japan, as artists, designers, and creative artists.

Tokyo Bunka Junior College (東京文化短期大学, Tōkyō bunka tanki daigaku) is a private junior college in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan. The precursor of the school was founded in 1927, and it was chartered as a junior college in 1950. In 2010 the college was renamed Nitobe Bunka College (新渡戸文化短期大学, Nitobe bunka tanki daigaku) after its first president Inazo Nitobe (presidency: 1928–1933).

Takanohana stable (貴乃花部屋, Takanohana-beya) was a stable of sumo wrestlers, created in 2004 when Takanohana Kōji took over the running of Futagoyama stable from his father Takanohana Kenshi. Formerly of the Nishonoseki ichimon or group of stables, it became the leader of a breakaway Takanohana group in 2010, which was formally recognized as an ichimon in 2014. It is one of the most successful sumo stables with 42 top division championships to its name, won by eight different wrestlers, if Futagoyama's history from 1962 is included. As of the September 2018 tournament the stable had eight wrestlers, including three sekitori. Takanohana resigned from the Japan Sumo Association shortly after that tournament and the stable was absorbed into Chiganoura stable on October 1, 2018.

The White U House was a building in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan designed by Toyo Ito in 1976. The building was demolished in 1997.Ito designed the building as a house for his older sister following the loss of her husband.The house is one of Ito's most seminal projects.

It is assumed to be the purported location of the ashes of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Indian revolutionary, which have been preserved since September 18, 1945. The small, well-preserved temple was established in 1594 inspired by the God of Wealth and Happiness. It belongs to the Nichiren sect of Buddhism that believes that human salvation lies only in the Lotus Sutra.

Tokyo Polytechnic University (東京工芸大学, Tōkyō Kōgei Daigaku) is a private university in Honchō, Nakano, Tokyo. Its nickname is Shadai (写大). It was formerly known as Tokyo College of Photography (東京写真大学, Tōkyō Shashin Daigaku). The university was founded as Konishi Professional School of Photography in Shibuya in 1923. The founder, Rokuemon Sugiura VII, was the president of Konishi Main Shop (later Konica) at that time and founded the school to fulfil the wish of Rokuemon Sugiura VI, the previous president.Since 2007, the university has offered courses in manga studies and animation studies. Tokyo Polytechnic is also notable for being one of the few universities in Japan to have a game design department, with its faculty including such notable practitioners as Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani and Xevious creator Masanobu Endō. The university also operates the Suginami Animation Museum, which focuses on the history and future of the animation industry in Japan.
