Haulover Park

Baker's Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida connecting the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles. It is the location of an official nude beach, recreation areas and marina in the 99-acre Haulover Park. A fixed bridge carries State Road A1A across the inlet. The name has appeared on maps as early as 1823. There is a State of Florida Historical Landmark Marker (over 50 years old) at the original Lighthouse Dock site dedicated on February 21, 2004, to the first charter-boat captains at the 1926–1951 dock. It is the only marker in the State of Florida for a fishing dock.

Trump Towers is an oceanfront condominium development in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida consisting of three 271-unit towers with developer Gil Dezer of Dezer Properties. The three identical towers are designed by the Miami based company Sieger Suarez Architects. The luxurious indoor design is by Hirsch Bedner Associates with a three-story atrium, restaurant, fitness center, spa, and pool deck in each tower.

The Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University, located at the Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami, Florida in the United States is one of the University's 26 schools and colleges. The University was chartered in 1965 and opened in 1972.The campus includes a natural mangrove preserve, direct access to the bay, apartment-style housing, library, aquatic center, and the Roz and Cal Kovens Conference Center. On-campus housing is also available at the Bay Vista Apartments through the housing community.

Sandspur Island (also known as Beer Can Island) is the largest spoil island in Biscayne Bay, which is part of the Oleta River State Park in Southern Florida. The island is 15 acres (6.1 ha), the largest island in North Bay of the Biscayne Bay and only accessible by boat. In the early 1900s dredging of Biscayne Bay to create navigation channels and harbors resulted in the creation of over twenty man-made spoil islands, including Sandspur Island and two partially filled natural mangrove islands.

Bal Harbour is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The village is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 3,093 at the 2020 US Census.

The Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC), located in North Miami, Florida, is a branch campus of Florida International University. With a student body of more than 7,000, it is the largest branch campus in Florida's State University System.FIU's nationally ranked schools of Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Journalism and Mass Communication, Environment, Arts and Society, and Business Administration are headquartered at BBC. Offering numerous undergraduate majors and selected graduate degrees located about an hour from FIU main campus.Encompassing nearly 200 acres, the campus is surrounded by the largest urban park in Florida, Oleta River State Park. It includes a library, an aquatic center, a conference center, a food court and a marine science research facility. FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus completed renovations in the Fall of 2014, including a new Panther Plaza, Wolfe University Center Lobby, Wolfe University Center Lounge, Wine Spectator Restaurant, Hubert Library Instructional Lab, Starbucks, Food Court, and Royal Caribbean International Performance and Production Facility.

The Oleta River State Park is a 1,043-acre (422 ha) state park on Biscayne Bay in the municipal suburb of North Miami in metropolitan Miami, Florida. Adjoining the Biscayne Bay Campus of Florida International University, the park contains one of the largest concentrations of Casuarina trees (Australian 'pine'), an invasive species in the state park system.

The Oleta River, situated north of Miami, drains the northern Everglades into Biscayne Bay, allowing freshwater to reach the Atlantic Ocean. Today, it is the only natural river in Miami-Dade County that has not been dredged and channelized. Its seven miles (11 km) of shoreline are largely undeveloped, making the Oleta River Corridor a vestige of wilderness in a matrix of urbanization. Between the Everglades and Biscayne Bay, over six miles (10 km) of trail have been developed for use by off-road vehicles: slightly more than a mile of expert singletrack, a half-mile of intermediate singletrack, almost three miles (5 km) of novice singletrack, and more than two miles (3 km) of paved pathway. They all connect in what is essentially an out-and-back, but various loops of different lengths and difficulties can be ridden off the main out-and-back. The extinct Tequesta Indians canoed the waters of the Oleta River over 400 years ago and today, a Tequesta village and midden site is preserved nearby as a reminder of the river's past human history. This area now represents one of the last wilderness areas available to wildlife in northern Miami-Dade County.

MAST@FIU Biscanye Bay Campus, also known as MAST@FIU, and MAST@ FIU BBC, is a public magnet secondary school. The school is located in North Miami, Florida, on Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus. It is the fourth MAST school to open, after MAST Academy, MAST Medical @ Homestead, and José Martí MAST. In 2013, it was claimed that opening the school would depend on funding from the community. On August 19, 2013, MAST@FIU opened. The school takes advantage of its location on the bay, similar to the Virginia Key MAST Academy. MAST@FIU claims that it offers the advanced studies of a public magnet, while shifting the setting to a university atmosphere.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is a luxury resort in Bal Harbour, Florida. It is situated across from the Bal Harbour Shops and is known for its proximity to Miami's South Beach. In January 2014, the Qatar-based Al Faisal Holding Company LLC acquired the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Jade Beach and Jade Ocean are two high-rise residential condominiums located in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Finished in 2009, Jade Beach has 52 floors and rises 574.01 feet (175 m), making it the second-tallest building in Sunny Isles Beach and the 18th tallest building in Florida as of early 2015. Jade Ocean has a darker colored, glass facaded, 544.62-foot (166 m), 51-story twin tower named Jade Ocean that was completed in 2008. Both buildings were designed by architect Carlos Ott.

Bal Harbour Shops is an open-air shopping mall in Bal Harbour, Florida, an affluent suburb of Miami Beach. With Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue as anchors, the mall had sales of $3,000 per square foot in 2015, ranked among the highest-grossing retail centers in the world.
