Old Edgebrook District

Edgebrook is a commuter railroad station on Metra's Milwaukee District North Line in the Edgebrook neighborhood of the Forest Glen section of Chicago, Illinois. The station is 11.5 miles (18.5 km) away from Union Station, the southern terminus of the line, and serves commuters between Union Station and Fox Lake, Illinois. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Edgebrook is in zone C. As of 2018, Edgebrook is the 74th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 701 weekday boardings. This is the last station outbound in Chicago city limits. As of 2022, Edgebrook is served by 15 inbound trains and 14 outbound trains on weekdays, by all 10 trains in both directions on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in both directions on Sundays.

WSBC (1240 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Chicago, Illinois. It broadcasts brokered programming, mostly ethnic and religious. It is owned by Hearland Signal LLC. WSBC transmits with 1,000 watts. Its transmitter site is on North Milwaukee Avenue at West Catalpa Avenue in Chicago. It shares its tower with sister station WCPT (820 AM). WSBC features programming aimed at ethnic communities including Russian, Ukrainian, Latino, Italian, Latvian and Irish. Hosts buy time on the station and may offer their services or seek donations during their shows.

Gladstone Park primarily serves rush hour trains and is closed on weekends and holidays. The station is located at 5500 N. Austin Avenue, adjacent to the Kennedy Expressway. Gladstone Park is 10.1 miles (16.3 km) away from the Union Pacific Northwest Line's terminus at Ogilvie Transportation Center. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Gladstone Park is in zone B. As of 2018, Gladstone Park is the 166th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 180 weekday boardings. As of April 3, 2023, Gladstone Park is served by 22 trains (10 inbound, 12 outbound) on weekdays only. Gladstone Park is located at grade level and is the first station northbound after the Northwest Line descends to grade level. Gladstone Park has two platforms which serve three tracks. There is no ticket agent at Gladstone Park, so tickets must be purchased on board the train. A footbridge is located south of the station to allow passengers (and neighboring pedestrians) to cross the Kennedy Expressway. Gladstone Park is one of two stations on the UP-Northwest line that is not ADA-accessible, the other being Clybourn.

Superdawg is a drive-in hot dog stand with carhop service. It is located in the Norwood Park, Chicago neighborhood of Chicago, at the intersection of Milwaukee, Devon, and Nagle Avenues. Superdawg has the distinction of being one of the few original drive-in restaurants left in the United States. Its methods have been the same since it opened in 1948. Wildwood is a neighborhood located in the Forest Glen Community Area on the Far Northwest side of Chicago, Illinois. The community is triangular in shape and is bordered by Lehigh Avenue, Caldwell Avenue (Route 14), Touhy Avenue, and Devon Avenue. The Edgebrook Metra Station faces Wildwood at the intersection of Devon, Lehigh, and Caldwell. The most notable features of Wildwood are rustic, including curb-less streets and massive trees towering above the homes. A satellite view of Wildwood compared to other nearby Chicago communities shows its number of trees. Wildwood provides the entrance to Bunker Hill Forest Preserve and the North Branch Bicycle Trail (ending at the Botanical Gardens in Glencoe, Illinois). The community of Wildwood contains few businesses or rental options, as it is primarily a community of single-family homes. The neighborhood is home to Wildwood Park and Wildwood Elementary School. Wildwood Elementary is now known as Wildwood World Magnet School after undergoing extensive renovations in the last decade.

It is located at 5301 North Forest Glen Avenue, is 10.2 miles (16.4 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the southern terminus of the line, and serves commuters between Union Station and Fox Lake, Illinois. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Forest Glen is in zone C. As of 2018, Forest Glen is the 126th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 376 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Forest Glen is served by 40 trains (19 inbound, 21 outbound) on weekdays, by all 20 trains (10 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. The station is little more than an open sheltered platform, and is located south of a Cook County Forest Preserve. On-street parking is available along Forest Glen Avenue and LeClaire Avenue between Elston Avenue and north of Balmoral Avenue. The main parking lot for the station is between Balmoral and Catalpa Avenues.
