Luhden

Eilsen is a Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Its seat is in the village Bad Eilsen. The Samtgemeinde Eilsen consists of the following municipalities: Ahnsen Bad Eilsen Buchholz Heeßen Luhden

The Weser Hills (Wesergebirge), also known in German as the Weserkette ("Weser Chain"), form a low hill chain, up to 326.1 m above sea level (NN), in the Weser Uplands in the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The thickly wooded Weser ridge is one of the northern outliers of the German Central Uplands on the southern edge of the North German Plain and forms part of the TERRA.vita Nature Park in the west and Weser Uplands Schaumburg-Hameln Nature Park in the east. Prince Rupert School was a secondary school in Rinteln, Lower Saxony, Germany, and was operated by the Service Children's Education for children of military personnel and its employees of the former British sector of West Germany. Over the years it has taken both day and weekly boarding pupils from the military garrisons of Buckeburg, Detmold, Hameln, Herford, Hohne, Nienburg, Bunde, Hanover, Hildesheim, Minden, Osnabrück (following closure of Edinburgh School in Munster), Paderborn, and Rinteln. It was originally located at the North Sea port city of Wilhelmshaven before moving to its present location. After the school was closed, it served as a camp for refugees. Now the buildings are set to be demolished and replaced by a residential area.

Bad Eilsen (West Low German: Ahlsen) is a municipality in the district of Schaumburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 11 km (6.8 mi) southwest of Stadthagen, and 13 km (8.1 mi) southeast of Minden. Bad Eilsen is also the seat of the Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") Eilsen.

The town of Rinteln is in the broad valley between the hills of the Weserbergland and the North Lippe Bergland. In relation to some well known places, it is 60 kilometers west of Hanover, and just 20 kilometers from Hamelin of Pied Piper fame. Its population is about 28,500. It is accessed by the A2 autobahn (E30).
