Jühnde

The Gauss Tower is a reinforced concrete observation tower on the summit of the Hoher Hagen in Dransfeld, Germany. The tower can be reached directly by car. A restaurant with a panoramic view is located inside the tower. The tower is named for Carl Friedrich Gauss, who made the large triangle from the Hohen Hagen break into Inselsberg a basis of his survey of Hanover. From 1909 to 1963, there had already been a Gaussturm nearby. It broke when a quarry was expanded too far in the 1950s.

The Hoher Hagen is a volcanic hill that is still 480 m high today, in the Dransfeld Municipal Forest, in the German district of Göttingen in South Lower Saxony.

The Dransfeld Municipal Forest (German: Dransfelder Stadtwald) is situated on a ridge in Germany's Central Uplands that ascends to 480 m high. It is located in the district of Göttingen, in South Lower Saxony. Although its name suggests a forest within a town, Dranfeld Municipal Forest is actually a small, heavily forested high ridge that lies about halfway between the city of Göttingen to the northeast and the town of Hann. Münden to the southwest; it is east of the Bramwald and immediately south of the city of Dransfeld. The B3 federal highway runs through the western foothills of the Dransfeld Municipal Forest, located in the northern part of the Münden Nature Park. Named hills in the Dransfeld Municipal Forest include: Hoher Hagen (originally 508 m) - with its Gauß Tower Brunsberg (480 m) Hengelsberg (463 m) - with the source of the Auschnippe and the nearby "Giesekestein" monument Dransberg (422 m) Schotsberg (419 m) Lohberg (312 m)

Groß Ellershausen is a village (borough: Ortsteil) in Göttingen, Germany. The village lies on highway B3, west of the southern part of the city proper, separated from it and the River Leine by the Autobahn A7. Further west, just beyond the village is the 77 hectare local forest, Genossenschaftsforst Groß Ellershausen. From the village, running north and then through the forest is a bicycle- cum foot-path built on the old Hannöversche Südbahn railway line.

St. Martin's (German: St. Martini) is a Lutheran church in Groß Ellershausen, Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is significant as possibly retaining the oldest existing structure, its tower, in southern Lower Saxony. While the details of the origin of the church building have been lost in the mist of history, architectural analysis indicates that the Romanesque church tower was most likely built in the tenth or eleventh century. The remains of a hearth on the second floor have led to the conclusion that the tower was originally a Wohnturm (a residential tower) of a titled family, probably the Herren von Ellershausen, which lived there at the time. The church's ship is much younger, probably having been built or re-built during the Barocque era. It was repaired in 1838. .Records from 1608 and 1610 indicate there were two bells in the church. The larger of the two was melted down during the First World War as part of the national effort to obtain metals for military purposes. In 1922, two steel bells were dedicated as replacements. Then in 2003 three new bronze bells of unequal sizes were installed. Each of the bells has a Latin word inscribed (Soli, Deo and Gloria, meaning "only to God the honor"). The bells are rung by an electrically run system, with various combinations and sequences signifying various things.It currently houses a Lutheran congregation.

The Werra viaducts near Hedemünden, Germany are two bridges crossing the valley of the river Werra. They are located in southern Lower Saxony and provide crossings for the A 7 motorway and the Hanover-Würzburg high-speed rail line. The bridges are located 33 metres apart from each other. The bridges cross the Werra river, the B 80 and the Kassel to Eichenberg railway line at a maximum height of 59 metres.
