Hillsdale station (Caltrain)

Hillsdale Shopping Center, or simply Hillsdale, is a shopping mall in San Mateo, California, United States, currently anchored by Macy's and Nordstrom. Featuring over 130 stores and restaurants, it is at the intersection of Hillsdale Boulevard and El Camino Real or CA-82, adjacent to the Hillsdale Caltrain Station and the former site of Bay Meadows Racetrack. It is owned by Bohannon Development Co.

Bay Meadows is an 83-acre mixed-use, transit-oriented development in the City of San Mateo, California. The neighborhood is divided into station/mixed-use and residential districts, which are further divided into 18 development blocks. The station/mixed-use district is primarily adjacent to Delaware Street, the major north/south street through the neighborhood. Blocks in the residential district to the east of Delaware Street form communities within Bay Meadows II. As of 2019, 11 blocks have been developed. When it is complete, Bay Meadows II will have 1250 residential units, 1.25 million square feet of office space, 150,000 square feet of retail space, and 15 acres of parks

The convention is organized by SEFA Entertainment, based in San Francisco, California. It is the American subsidiary of the JTS Group, the organizing group of Japan Expo in Paris, France.

The Peninsula Library System (PLS) is a consortium of public and community college libraries in San Mateo County, California, United States, which serves the part of the San Francisco Bay Area known as "The Peninsula". The system has dozens of branches in local communities and at various area community colleges, a bookmobile, and automated book kiosks called Library-a-Go-Go.The Peninsula Library System's mission states that it "strengthens local libraries through cooperation, enabling them to provide better service to their diverse communities."

Gurnick Academy (also known as Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts) is a private for-profit higher-education institution in California providing nursing, imaging and allied health programs. The school’s corporate office is located in San Mateo, California, and it operates six campuses, in San Mateo, Concord, Modesto, Fresno, Sacramento and Los Angeles as well as offering distance education online. The academy is operated and owned by the Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts, with Konstantin Gourji serving as the chief executive officer.

Hillsdale High School is a public co-educational high school in San Mateo, California, serving grades 9–12 as part of the San Mateo Union High School District. Hillsdale generally serves the residents of San Mateo and Foster City. The main feeder schools to Hillsdale are Abbott, Bayside, Borel, and Bowditch Middle Schools of the San Mateo-Foster City School District.

San Mateo-Foster City School District is a school district in San Mateo and Foster City, California. It consists of twenty schools: three middle schools (Grades 6–8), fourteen elementary schools (TK/K–5), and three schools with all grades (K–8). With a total enrollment of approximately 12,500 students (in 2015–16), it is the largest school district in San Mateo County. Students in the San Mateo-Foster City School District continue on to the San Mateo Union High School District.

Davey Glen Park is a 1-acre (4,000 m2) piece of parkland set aside by the city of Belmont, California, in 2000 as part of an upscale housing development nearby. Donation of land for parks or in-lieu fees are required by the city for such development. In this case, The developer donated land valued at approxmately $450,000 to the City of Belmont Parks Department in 2000 for use as a park. The site is zoned for planned development, but the title is held by the city. The layout of Davey Glen Park is similar to that of Twin Pines park and other parks in Belmont. There is a flat area with a slope and a stream below it. The bay and Mount Diablo are partially visible through the eucalyptus trees. It is close to a neighborhood shopping area. The park is located near the top of a steep grade, and there is a privately owned concrete walking path trail that provides access to the residents on North Road. This walking path was donated by the two adjacent homeowners (one of whom was a former mayor of Belmont).

Hayward Park station is one of three Caltrain stations in San Mateo, California. It is a short distance south of the site of the Southern Pacific station at Hayward Park. The station is planned to be modified to accommodate through-running California High-Speed Rail service.

Belmont is an affluent city in San Mateo County in the U.S. state of California. It is in the San Francisco Bay Area, on the San Francisco Peninsula about halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. Known for its wooded hills, views of the San Francisco Bay and stretches of open space, Belmont is a quiet residential community in the midst of the culturally and technologically rich Bay Area. It was originally part of Rancho de las Pulgas, for which one of its main roads, the Alameda de las Pulgas, is named. The city was incorporated in 1926. Its population was 28,335 at the 2020 census. Ralston Hall is a historic landmark built by Bank of California founder William Chapman Ralston on the campus of Notre Dame de Namur University, and is also home to Notre Dame High School. It was built around a villa formerly owned by Count Leonetto Cipriani, an Italian aristocrat. The locally famous "Waterdog Lake" is also located in the foothills and highlands of Belmont. A surviving structure from the Panama-Pacific International Exposition is on Belmont Avenue (another is the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco). The building was brought to Belmont by E.D. Swift shortly after the exposition closed in 1915. The city is bordered by San Mateo to the north, Half Moon Bay to the west, Redwood Shores to the east, and San Carlos to the south. Belmont has a smoking ordinance, passed in January 2009, which bans smoking in all businesses and multi-story apartments and condominiums; the ordinance has been described as one of the strictest in the nation.

Pacific Recorders (also referred to as Pacific Recording) was an independent recording studio in San Mateo, California. Founded in 1968, the studio was the location for recordings by such notable artists as Santana, the Grateful Dead, The Doobie Brothers, Moby Grape, and Taj Majal.
