Parque Avellaneda

Avellaneda Park (Spanish: Parque Avellaneda) is a public park in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located at the heart of the Parque Avellaneda neighbourhood, which takes its name from the park.

Floresta is a neighbourhood located to the west of Buenos Aires. The district developed and was named after Buenos Aires Western Railway's first terminal station's area called La Floresta, in 1857. Avellaneda Park, the neighborhood's most important, was built in 1914 on grounds that once belonged to a monastery. An early Italian immigrant to Argentina, Felix Barabino, built his home in Floresta and boasted the neighborhood's most imposing residence at the time. Today, it is home to the Floresta Cultural and Historical Society, which maintains a valuable library there.

Vélez Sársfield is a barrio or district in the western part of Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the area defined by the streets Segurola Avenue, Juan Agustín García, Lope de Vega Avenue, Juan B. Justo Ave., Corro Ave., Medina, Juan Bautista Alberdi Ave. and Mariano Acosta.

San Pedrito is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground and it is the current terminus of the line. The station was opened on 27 September 2013 as a part of the extension of the line from Carabobo.

Flores is a middle-class barrio or district in the center part of Buenos Aires city, Argentina. Flores was considered a rural area of the Province of Buenos Aires until 1888 when it was integrated into the city. Flores is the birthplace of Pope Francis.

Plaza de los Virreyes - Eva Perón is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground and is the current terminus. The station was opened on 8 May 1986 as the western terminus of the one-line extension from Varela. It was originally called Plaza de los Virreyes; however, Eva Perón was added to the name of the station to commemorate Eva Duarte de Perón, the prominent Argentine historical figure. The Premetro connects here at Intendente Saguier station. This station is the southernmost metro station in the world.

The At-Tauhid Mosque (Spanish: Mezquita At-Tauhid) is an Islamic house of worship in Floresta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the oldest mosque in the country, having been inaugurated in October 1983 by the Shia community of Buenos Aires and with the support of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Argentina. It is a very simple building with a subtle Islamic style in its facade. It is located on Felipe Vallese St. 3614.

Estadio Nueva Espana is a multi-use stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it has a capacity of 32,500 and it was built in 1981. Nueva España was used as the home ground of Deportivo Español, a football club who currently play in Primera B Metropolitana which is the Argentine third division. Due to the clubs recent financial difficulties, and the poor condition of the stadium, they were prevented from playing there, and had to play their home games elsewhere. However, at the start of the 2007/08 season, Español came back home after four years, playing against Deportivo Armenio on August 12.

Varela is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 27 November 1985 as the western terminus of the one-line extension from Medalla Milagrosa. On 8 May 1986, the line was extended to Plaza de los Virreyes.

San José de Flores is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station connects with Flores station on the Sarmiento Line commuter rail service. The station was opened on 27 September 2013 as part of the extension of the line from Carabobo to San Pedrito.

The 2011 Flores rail crash occurred at 06.23 ART on 13 September 2011 when a bus on a level crossing at Flores railway station, in the Flores barrio of Buenos Aires, Argentina, was hit by a train on the Sarmiento Line, heading for Moreno. The accident caused that same train to smash into another one as it derailed.

Villa Luro is a barrio (district) of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located near the western end of the City of Buenos Aires. The district owes its name to Dr. Pedro Luro, a prominent local physician and real-estate developer who, during the 1870s, sold most of his property in the area as residential lots. The neighborhood, which at the time was on the outskirts of the city, grew rapidly following the inaugural in 1911 of the Buenos Aires Western Railway's Villa Luro station (today a stop along the Sarmiento Line). The district's largest park, Plaza Ejército de los Andes, was opened in 1939. A defunct Western Railway line that divided the neighbourhood diagonally was converted into the Avenida del Justicialismo in 1951, and this avenue was in turn replaced by the Perito Moreno Expressway in 1980. Villa Luro is also accessible from downtown Buenos Aires (11 kilometres (7 mi) to the east) via Rivadavia Avenue, and the most of the high-rises in the largely low-density district were built along it. A more upscale section within the district, Villa Luro Hollywood, was later developed along Ramón Falcón Avenue one block south of Rivadavia Avenue. Notable neighbourhood institutions include the Church and Institute of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (1911), the Valle Miñor Social Club (1928), the Villa Luro Association of Plastic Arts (2000), and the Alejandro Olmos Cultural Center (2009).
