Britton is a former town in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, annexed by Oklahoma City in 1950. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.Britton, founded in 1889, bears the name of Washington D.C. railroad attorney, Alexander Britton, who worked for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. As part of its charter allowing a railroad to be built through Oklahoma, the United States required the construction of railway stations every seven miles. The first site north of Oklahoma City became the town of Britton. Britton's altitude is 1,220 feet above sea level and is the highest point on the Santa Fe Railroad between Kansas City, Missouri and Galveston, Texas.Through the efforts of Oklahoma City developers Anton Classen and John Shartel, Britton was connected in 1910 to Oklahoma City through the Oklahoma Railway Company's Interurban, which ran on north to Guthrie. During its early years, the town thrived and was home to two movie theaters, gas stations, a drug store, a lumberyard, medical clinics and retail businesses. Before its annexation by Oklahoma City in 1950, Britton's main street offered a shopping point for its 6,000 residents.Between March 3, 1936 and March 2, 1953, Route 66 passed directly through downtown Britton and was the major conduit through which Route 66 travelers made their way through Oklahoma City en route to Illinois and California. The Owl Courts motel, one of Oklahoma City's oldest surviving 1930s era Route 66 motels, was built in the former town of Britton.

The Academy of Classical Christian Studies (often called The Academy) is a private classical Christian school located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, offering grades PK - 12. The Academy is the only classical Christian day school in the Oklahoma City metro area. The Academy was formed in 2013 as a merger between Providence Hall Classical Christian School and Veritas Classical Academy.The Academy's statement of faith is rooted in the Nicene Creed and the school's faculty and students represent the whole spectrum of Christianity.The school's main office campus is located at 1120 East Hefner Road in Oklahoma City. It has three different locations throughout the metropolitan area to serve all grades. The Academy offers Grammar education in both traditional (5-day) and blended (2-day) options. Dialectic education includes 5-day and 3-day options, and Rhetoric offers traditional 5-day learning. Fr. Nathan Carr serves as Head of School.Academy of Classical Christian Studies is a member of the Society of Classical Learning.

Oklahoma Centennial Middle/High School was a grade 7–12 public education school in the Oklahoma City Public Schools district. In 2008, the school occupied its permanent building, located at 1301 NE 101st Street in Oklahoma City. On January 22, 2019, Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Sean McDaniel announced that Centennial would be closed as a part of his "Path to Greatness" plan. The building where it was located is now occupied by Harding Charter Preparatory High School.

KOCO-TV (channel 5) is a television station in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States, affiliated with ABC and owned by Hearst Television. Its studios and transmitter are located on East Britton Road (Historic Route 66)—between North Kelley and North Eastern Avenues—in the McCourry Heights neighborhood of northeast Oklahoma City. Although KOCO-TV's call letters sound like "cocoa" if pronounced as a word, the station is never referred to in that manner; it is always mentioned on air as "K-O-C-O".

KOSU (91.7 FM) is a public radio station operated by Oklahoma State University, with studios on OSU's campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma and in the Film Row district in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The station broadcasts a mix of National Public Radio news, talk radio and adult album alternative (AAA) music from The Spy FM. The primary transmitter for the station is located about 3 miles west of the community of Seward, Oklahoma (between the cities of Guthrie and Edmond).KOSU is one of several NPR member stations serving the Oklahoma City Metroplex, and the only NPR news and talk station to cover most of the market with its primary signal. The station's programming also airs on full-time satellites KOSN 107.5 FM in Ketchum, which serves the Tulsa area, KOSR 88.3 FM in Stillwater, K235CG 94.9 FM in Ponca City, and K297AQ 107.3 FM in Bixby.

KYLV (88.9 FM, "K-LOVE") is a Christian Contemporary radio station serving the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, area and is owned by Educational Media Foundation.

KZUC-LP (also going by UCentral Radio) is the student radio station on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma. UCentral Radio applied for an LPFM license in November 2013 and was awarded a construction permit by the Federal Communications Commission on February 24, 2015. UCentral Radio is part of the UCentral student media network at the University of Central Oklahoma.

KTBO-TV (channel 14) is a religious television station in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States, owned and operated by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). The station's transmitter is located near the John Kilpatrick Turnpike/Interstate 44, on Oklahoma City's northeast side.
