Duiven

Helhoek is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Duiven, between the towns of Duiven and Zevenaar.It was first mentioned between 1830 and 1855 as Helhoek. Hel can either mean inferno or steep hill. It is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Groessen. There is an industrial zone near the hamlet. Helhoek consists of about 40 houses.

Duiven is a railway station located in Duiven, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 February 1856 and is located on the Oberhausen–Arnhem railway between Arnhem and Elten (Germany). The train services at this station are operated by Arriva and Breng. The station was closed on 4 October 1936, but reopened on 31 May 1980. ICE services pass through this station at high speed.

Groessen is a village in the municipality of Duiven in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. It was first mentioned in 838 in uilla Gruosna, and means "settlement in grassland". The village developed near the Rhine. The St Andreas Church was a tower from the 12th century. The church dates from around 1500, and has been enlarged in 1923. In 1840, it was home to 1,406 people.

Bahr is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality Zevenaar, about 3 km southeast of Rheden.The village was first mentioned in 1272 as de Bare. It may mean "barren land". It became part of Gelderland in 1735. The hamlet has no place name signs. In 1840, it was home to 144 people. Nowadays it consists of about 20 houses.According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, it had about 170 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century. The large castle "Bahr" was located here, until it was demolished after a siege in 1495.

Lathum is a village in the municipality of Zevenaar in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. The village was first mentioned between 1294 and 1295 as Latheym, and means "settlement of Laeta (lit: serf)". Lathum developed near the Castle Bahr en Lathum. The castle was first mentioned in 1243, and destroyed in 1495. In the early 17th century, a manor house was built in its place. The Dutch Reformed Church probably started as a chapel. It was built in the late-15th century and has 14th century elements. In 1840, it was home to 242 people. In the 1990s, Riverparc was constructed on the location of the former brickworks.

The Buitenmolen (Outer mill) is a tower mill in Zevenaar, Netherlands that was restored to working order in 1970. The mill was built in the beginning of the sixteenth century and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 40427.

The Brick Works De Panoven is a brick museum in Zevenaar, the Gelderland, the Netherlands. The museum is an Anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage. It is also a rijksmonument (number 338309).

Zevenaar (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzeːvənaːr] ) is a municipality and a city in the Gelderland province, in the eastern Netherlands near the border with Germany. In January 2018 the neighbouring municipality of Rijnwaarden was merged with Zevenaar.

Zevenaar is a railway station located in Zevenaar, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 February 1856 and is located on the Winterswijk–Zevenaar railway and the Oberhausen–Arnhem railway. There used to be a connection to Kleve (Germany) as well (from 1865-1914). Since 6 April 2017, the station has a direct train to Germany once again, but this time to Düsseldorf instead of Kleve. The train services are operated by Arriva, Breng and Abellio Deutschland.

Loo is a village in the municipality of Duiven in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. The village has a ferry connection to Huissen. A couple of houses of Loo are part of Huissen, Lingewaard, because they were on a former river island which used to belong the Duchy of Cleves.

Huize Sevenaer (Huis Sevenaer, Huize Zevenaar or Huis Seventer) is a castle farm in Zevenaar, the Netherlands. The estate has existed since the 14th century and since 1947 has been the last remaining fully operational castle farm in the country, and one of the few remaining in Europe. The castle has been private property of the van Nispen family since 1785, and is owned and operated by Jonkheer Huub van Nispen van Sevenaer.

The Pannerdens Kanaal (Pannerden Canal) is a canal in the Netherlands that was dredged between 1701 and 1709 to cut off a large, shallow bend of the river Rhine and so improve river traffic and water regulation. The canal, now indistinguishable from a "real" river, forks off north from river Waal a few kilometres past the point where the Bijlands Kanaal, a similar canal dug to cut off a Waal bend, ends. It flows past the towns of Pannerden (right bank), which gives the canal its name, and Angeren (left bank) and so north to the point where the old Rhine bend flows into it and the river continues to the sea as Nederrijn (Lower Rhine). The old Rhine bend, cut off at its upstream end, still exists and is called, unsurprisingly, Oude Rijn (Old Rhine).
