Twenterand

Vriezenveen (Lower Saxon: 't Vjenne, Venne, Vjenne, Vreeznven or Vreeinvenne) is a town in the municipality of Twenterand in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The population was 13,800 on January 1, 2020.Until July 1, 2002, Vriezenveen formed an independent municipality together with the villages of De Pollen, Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk, Aadorp and the hamlets Bruinehaar, Weitemanslanden and Westerhoeven. In 2001, the municipality of Vriezenveen was merged with the municipality of Den Ham, which included the villages of Den Ham, Vroomshoop, and Geerdijk. The new municipality was called Vriezenveen and renamed Twenterand in 2003.The town hall of Twenterand is located in Vriezenveen. The dependance of the town hall in Den Ham was closed on May 30, 2008.

Aadorp is a village on the northern side of Almelo, Netherlands with a population of about 1500; it has been part of the Almelo municipality since 2001. The villagers of Aadorp are very close, since there are so few of them. The central meeting point in Aadorp is the Aahoes, which consists of a meeting hall, and a small barbershop. Also, Aadorp has recreation areas including soccer fields and more. For anything else Aadorp villagers must go to one of the neighbouring towns.

The line is primarily used by school children in the morning and afternoon. The station has 2 platforms. With an average of 100 passengers per day, it is one of the least used stations in the Netherlands. The train services are operated by Arriva. Previously, this station was called Den Ham-Vroomshoop (1906-1952).

Daarlerveen is a railway station in Daarlerveen, The Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 October 1906 and is on the single track Mariënberg–Almelo railway. The line is primarily used by school children in the morning and afternoon. The station has 2 platforms, but one line, because there is a level crossing in between. The train runs over the level crossing first and then stops on the platform. This is so that the level crossing doesn't have to be closed while the train waits. The station is also used by people of Daarle and Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk. Previously, this station was called Boldijk (1906-1910) and Daarle (1910-1958).

Almelo is a railway station in Almelo, Netherlands. The station was opened on 18 October 1865 and is on the Deventer–Almelo railway, Almelo–Salzbergen railway, Zwolle–Almelo railway and Mariënberg–Almelo railway lines. The current station building dates from 1962. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and Arriva.

Sibculo Abbey (Dutch: Klooster Sibculo), also called Groot Galilea (Galilea Major), was a Cistercian abbey founded in 1403 by followers of the Modern Devotion movement and dissolved in 1579 during the Protestant Reformation of the Netherlands. Its remains are near the village of Sibculo in the municipality of Hardenberg in Overijssel.

De Hoop is a gristmill in Almelo, Netherlands. The mill was built in 1870 with use of a demolished mill from 1797 and was rebuilt after a fire in 1910.

Stad Almelo is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It consisted of the city of Almelo. It existed from 1818 to 1914, when it merged with the municipality of Ambt Almelo, which covered the surrounding countryside.

Wierden (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋiːrdə(n)] (listen); Tweants: Wierdn) is a town and a municipality in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Overijssel. The municipality of Wierden also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Enter, Hoge Hexel, IJpelo, Notter, Rectum, and Zuna. The municipality has 10 primary schools and 1 secondary school. There are 2 soccer clubs, 2 tennis clubs and 1 volleyball club, this is only the top of the clubs. The village has 3 cemeteries of which, only one is currently in use. The mayor is Doret Tigchelaar-van Oene, who is also the chair of the board of mayor and aldermen. In midsummer, the locally known, 3-day festival "WieZo" is held. Which starts on a Thursday and ends Saturdays. Every night there are 2 musical acts on the Binnenhof. On Saturday there is also the Wiezoloop. For some years the Wiezoloop has become an independent event, separate from the Wiezo, and is held the same year about 1 month earlier.
