Kampen, Overijssel

The Bovenkerk (English: Upper Church; also known as the Church of St. Nicholas) is a large, Gothic church and the most striking element on the skyline of Kampen, Overijssel, Netherlands. The interior of the church contains an early-Renaissance choir screen, a stone pulpit and a monumental organ. The church has 1,250 seats. It is a Reformed church.

The Stedelijk Museum Kampen (lit. Municipal Museum Kampen) is a museum situated in the Old Town Hall of Kampen. The collection has four main topics: water, religion, justice and the House of Orange-Nassau. There are also five to six temporary exhibitions on contemporary art a year.

The City Hall, Kampen is an old city hall in Kampen, Overijssel. Both the older, Gothic portion and the newer, neo-classical building for the government offices form a Rijksmonument complex. It is used for weddings and other official proceedings. The older portion is in use as the local museum of Kampen.

Kampen is a terminus railway station located in Kampen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 10 May 1865 and is located on the Kamperlijntje, which is the Zwolle-Kampen section of the Utrecht–Kampen railway. The train service is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. A 2005 survey showed approximately 5,064 people use this station per day. Kampen now has two railway stations, since on 9 December 2012 the Hanzelijn was opened, creating a rail link between Lelystad and Zwolle via Dronten and Kampen. A new railway station Kampen Zuid connects Kampen with Dronten, Lelystad, Almere and Amsterdam to the west, and Zwolle to the east. The old line from Kampen to Zwolle is currently being transformed into a light rail service, with an additional stop in northern Zwolle and a higher frequency (3x per hour). The plan to do so was abandoned when the call for bids failed twice; however the province of Overijssel and NS agreed in 2013 to maintain the 2x per hour diesel service awaiting new decisions on the line's future. In summer 2017, Syntus agreed to take over as operator and began the line's electrification. There is currently a half-hourly service between Kampen and Zwolle on the old line. Services from the new Kampen Zuid are giving the town an additional, improved rail service with 2 stopping trains in each direction.

Kampen Zuid is a railway station in the Netherlands, located on the Lelystad–Zwolle railway, also known as the Hanzelijn. The station is located in the south of Kampen, Overijssel. The station opened on 9 December 2012, with there being 2 platforms and 2 tracks. InterCity trains from The Hague and Schiphol to Groningen and Leeuwarden pass through the station on the middle tracks.

IJsselmuiden is a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Kampen, northeast of that city across the river IJssel. IJsselmuiden was a separate municipality until 2001, when it became a part of Kampen. IJsselmuiden has an old church, dating back to 1200.

Grafhorst is a small city about 3 km north of Kampen, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It received city rights in 1333 from Jan van Diest, the Prince-Bishop of Utrecht.It was first mentioned in 1277 as Grafhorst, and means "burial height". Even though it was given city rights, it was never fortified and remained small. In 1775 and 1825, it was flooded. The economy used to be based in fishing with some agriculture culture. In 1849, it was home to 411 people. On 5 May 1849, nearly the entire city burnt down except for some farms and a couple of remote houses. In 1962, a church was built.Grafhorst was a separate municipality until 1937, when it became a part of IJsselmuiden; it is now a part of Kampen.

Wilsum is a small city in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Kampen, about 4 km southeast of that city.

Noordeinde is a village in the municipality of Oldebroek in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Noordeinde has 215 inhabitants (2000). It was first described between 1830 as 1855 Kamper Nieuwstad. In 1970, it was renamed Noordeinde (North end), because it was at the northern part of the municipality. In 1840, it was home to 155 people. In 1845, a church was built.
