Oakland Christian School (OCS) is a private pre-kindergarten–12 Christian school located in Auburn Hills, Oakland County, Michigan.

Pontiac Township is a defunct charter township in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The area consisted of what is now the cities of Pontiac, Auburn Hills, and Lake Angelus. Pontiac Township was bordered on the north by Brown Road and Dutton Road, on the east by South Adams Road (including a line extending north from South Adams Road), on the south by South Boulevard, and on the west by Telegraph Road.

The Palace of Auburn Hills, commonly referred to as the Palace, was a multi-purpose arena built in 1988 and located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It was the home of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Detroit Shock of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League, the Detroit Rockers of the National Professional Soccer League, the Detroit Neon/Detroit Safari of the Continental Indoor Soccer League, and the Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League. The Palace was one of eight basketball arenas owned by their respective NBA franchises.

WXOU (88.3 FM) is a college radio station licensed to Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States, the station serves the metro Detroit area and Oakland County. The station is currently owned by Oakland University. WXOU programming includes music, sports, and news with most being student-produced programs.

Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB) is the allopathic (MD) medical school for Oakland University (OU). The campus is located north of Detroit in central Oakland County, Michigan and spans the cities of Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, but has the mailing address of nearby but not adjacent Rochester. OUWB is named for OU which was named for Oakland County and William Beaumont Hospital (WBH) which was named for US Army surgeon William Beaumont who became known as the "Father of Gastric Physiology" following his research on human digestion started at Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island, Michigan. WBH's original name was "Oakland Hospital" (as it was being built) named for the county. But to distinguish itself from nearby Oakwood Hospital, Oakland Hospital changed its name just before officially opening for business.

Oakland University (Oakland) is a public research university in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, Michigan. Founded in 1957 through a donation of Matilda Dodge Wilson, it was initially known as Michigan State University-Oakland, operating under the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. The university gained institutional independence from the board in 1970 and was renamed Oakland University. Oakland University is one of the eight research universities in the State of Michigan and is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity." The university offers 132 bachelor's degree programs and 138 professional graduate certificate, master's degree, and doctoral degree programs, including those offered by the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. It had a total enrollment of more than 20,000 students in 2016. The university's site in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills comprises the Main Campus, Meadow Brook Estate, and two nationally ranked golf courses spread across 1,443 acres (5.84 km2). Meadow Brook Hall, a U.S. National Historic Landmark and the fourth-largest historic house museum in the United States, is located on the site. Previously known as the Pioneers, Oakland's athletic teams were renamed the Grizzlies in 1998. They compete in the NCAA Division I Horizon League.

Athletics Center O'rena is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It is home to the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball teams. The court has a distinctive "blacktop" color first used in the 2015–16 season.

Oakland University Baseball Field is a baseball venue in Rochester, Michigan, United States. It is home to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies baseball team of the NCAA Division I Horizon League. The field has a capacity of 500 spectators. It features a natural grass surface, dugouts, batting cages, and an elevated right field fence.

Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy is a private Catholic K-12 school in Pontiac, Michigan in Metro Detroit. Founded by Marist Fathers and Brothers in 1994. It is a coed, college-preparatory school.

The Meadow Brook Amphitheatre (originally the Meadow Brook Music Festival) is an outdoor pavilion music venue, located at 3554 Walton Boulevard in Rochester Hills, Michigan on the campus of Oakland University.The venue seats 7,701 patrons with 2,819 pavilion seats and 4,882 in the lawn.

The Chrysler World Headquarters and Technology Center (CTC) is the North American headquarters and main research and development facility for the automobile manufacturer Stellantis, formerly known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). The 504-acre complex is located next to Interstate 75 in Auburn Hills, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit. Completed in 1996, the complex has 5,400,000 square feet (500,000 m2) of usable space, placing it among the largest buildings in the world by floor space.
