Fujisawa (藤沢市, Fujisawa-shi) is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2021, the city had an estimated population of 439,728 and a population density of 6300 persons per km². The total area of the city is 69.57 square kilometres (26.86 sq mi).

Fujisawa City Hospital (藤沢市民病院, Fujisawa Shimin Byōin) is a general hospital in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan. Founded in 1971, the hospital is also a district hospital serving the neighbouring cities of Chigasaki and Kamakura.

Amazing Grace Bible Church (アメージンググレースバイブルチャーチ) is a bilingual (English and Japanese) Christian church located in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan. There are two services per week, with nine bible study classes. The church sponsors monthly non-denominational seminars in Kanagawa Prefecture, with spiritual retreats held all over Japan. In addition, both sermons and classes are held weekly via video conferencing with members living in China and America.

Fujisawa Station (藤沢駅, Fujisawa-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station located in the city of Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway operators Odakyu Electric Railway and Enoshima Electric Railway. Clustered around the station are large department stores and office buildings, forming the center of the city.

Yokohama Dreamland was an amusement park that operated in Totsuka, Yokohama, Japan from 1964 to 2002. The management company, Japan Dream Tourism, was acquired by the supermarket chain Daiei in 1993, and the amusement park closed permanently on February 17, 2002, due to financial issues. At the time of its closing, the amusement park was downsized to 145,776 square metres (170,000 sq yd). It was the sister park to Nara Dreamland, which itself closed permanently four years later. Beginning in May 1966, the park was served by the Yokohama Dreamland Monorail from Ōfuna Station. In September 1967, however, service on the line was suspended, due to structural issues resulting from engineering problems encountered in its construction. The closure was expected to be temporary, but a protracted legal battle over responsibility for the monorail's problems ensued, during which its infrastructure deteriorated significantly. After subsequent failed attempts to resurrect the line, it finally began to be demolished in 2003.In 2005, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology allowed the newly established Yokohama College of Pharmacy to occupy the site of the former amusement park. This involved converting the former Hotel Empire building and nearby existing structures into an academic library, classrooms and labs respectively, with additional structures, amenities and green spaces added later on.

Yokohama College of Pharmacy (横浜薬科大学, Yokohama yakka daigaku) is a private university in Totsuka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 2006 on the site of the former Yokohama Dreamland amusement park, converting the existing hotel building into classrooms and a library. It was founded by Yasuhisa Tsuzuki and is operated by his company, the Tsuzuki Integrated Educational Institution. The college's president is Nobel-prize laureate Leo Esaki.

Shōnandai Station (湘南台駅, Shōnandai-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station in located in the city of Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan, jointly operated by private railway companies Odakyu Electric Railway and Sagami Railway (Sōtetsu), and the public Yokohama City Transportation Bureau (subway service). It is 15.8 kilometers from the starting point of the Odakyū Enoshima Line at Sagami-Ōno Station and is a terminal station for both the Sagami Railway Izumino Line and the Yokohama Subway Blue Line. The ticket gates of the three lines converge on one wide underground concourse.

The Kashio River (柏尾川) is a Class B river in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, about 50 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. It begins in Kashio, Totsuka-ku, Yokohama at the confluence of the Akuwa River (阿久和川) and the Hiradonagaya River (平戸永谷川) and flows for 11 kilometers to the city of Fujisawa, where it merges with the Sakai River at the confluence known as Kawana (川名). The conjoined river, which is sometimes known as the Katase River, then flows into Sagami Bay at Enoshima Island. The catchment basin of the Kashio River is approximately 84 sq. kilometers. Because the Kashio River is a short, meandering stream, with a minimal descent, it has long been notorious for flooding. The predecessor of the Kashio River was the shallow Ōfuna Estuary (大船入江), which existed from the end of the last ice age to about 300 BC. Subsequently, earthquakes caused crustal uplift, which cut off the estuary from the bay, making it into a floodplain with the Kashio River at its center. As the river often flooded, it formed a lake that left behind a swamp as it drained. The early lake formed in the floodplain of the Kashio River is probably the lake mentioned in the Enoshima Engi, a history of the area.
