Prague 15

Petrovice (German Petrowitz) is a borough of Prague, Czech Republic. Petrovice is located in the south eastern part of the city. Petrovice is an independent municipality with its own city hall and city assembly. It is part of the Prague 15 administrative district. It has about 6,151 inhabitants. Petrovice used to be a village founded in the 13th century, while today it is an integrated part of Prague. There is a chateau here as well.

Dolní Měcholupy is a municipal district (městská část) and cadastral area (katastrální území) in Prague. It is located in the eastern part of the city. As of 2008, there were 1,788 inhabitants living in Dolní Měcholupy. The first written record of Dolní Měcholupy is from the 14th century. The village became part of Prague in 1968.

Jižní Město (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjɪʒɲiː ˈmɲɛsto], colloquially Jižňák or Jižák and abbreviated JM) is a panel housing estate situated in an open area in the southeast of Prague. Its name translates from Czech to English as "South City" or "South Town". Home to most of the 90,000 inhabitants of the municipal district Prague 11, part of the Prague 4 administrative district, it is the largest housing estate in the Czech Republic. Large parts of Chodov and Háje, the two districts which belong to Prague 11, are part of Jižní Město. The natural areas Kunratický les and Hostivař Park Forest border the estate, on the west and east sides respectively. The D1 highway connecting Prague to Brno runs through the estate.

Křeslice is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Czech village of Štěrboholy was founded in 1371, and became part of Prague in 1968. Now it is its own cadastral area, part of the administrative district Prague 15. Its area is 2.97 km2, its population is 2,172 and its population density is 731 inhabitants / km2. Šterboholy became known during the Seven Years' War on 6 May 1757. That day was the Battle of Prague, where Frederick II the Great defeated the Austrian troops of Charles Alexander of Lorraine.

Prague 11 is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague, Czech Republic. It is located in the south eastern part, 8 km from the City Center. The district is split into two parts, mainly from the perspective of pedestrians, by the south-eastern highway to Brno. Praha 11 comprises Chodov, Opatov and Háje on one side and Roztyly on the other side. Praha 11 is mostly residential district because of the huge panel housing estate called Jižní Město. At the beginning of 2016, it had 77,175 inhabitants. With the city centre it is connected by metro line C. The administrative district (správní obvod) of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 11, Křeslice, Šeberov and Újezd.

Háje (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦaːjɛ]) is a Prague Metro station and the terminus of Line C. It is named after a local neighborhood, whose name in English literally means groves. Háje station, along with the two stations preceding it, serve Jižní Město, the largest housing estate in the Czech Republic. The station was opened on 7 November 1980 as the southern terminus of the extension from Kačerov and was formerly known as Kosmonautů (meaning [station of] the cosmonauts) until 1990.

The Czech village of Háje was founded in 18th century, and became part of Prague in 1968. Now it is its own cadastral area, part of the administrative district Prague 11 (Prague 4). Its area is 2.36 square kilometres (0.91 sq mi), its population is 23,528 and its population density is 9,969 inhabitants / km2.Háje was founded in 18th century and historically it was part of Hostivař. Háje became part of Prague 1968. The building of Jižní Město (South Town in English), the biggest housing estate in the Czech republic started in Háje in 1971. Most of old village of Háje was demolished and replaced by panel buildings (paneláky). There is one metro station in Háje, the name of this station is Háje (Line C).

Újezd u Průhonic is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague, Czech Republic.

Dubeč is a municipal district (městská část) and cadastral area (katastrální území) in Prague. It is located in the eastern part of the city. As of 2008, there were 2,971 inhabitants living in Dubeč. The first written record of Dubeč is from the 11th century. The village became part of Prague in 1974.

In the Battle of Prague or Battle of Štěrboholy, fought on 6 May 1757 during the Third Silesian War (Seven Years' War), Frederick the Great's 64,000 Prussians forced 61,000 Austrians to retreat, but having lost 14,300 men, decided he was not strong enough to attack Prague. The battle is mentioned in the famous German ballad Lenore written in 1773 by Gottfried August Bürger.

Aquapalace Prague (Czech: Aquapalace Praha) is the biggest water park in the Czech Republic. It is located in Čestlice, about 100 metres (330 ft) from Prague's borders. It was opened on May 5, 2008. It has both indoor and outdoor areas, which are connected. The main water park has 9,150 m2 and is made up of three palaces: Palace of Treasures, Palace of Adventure and Palace of Relaxation, the "Sauna World" has another 1,750 m2. It contains twelve water slides up to 250 metres long (the longest in the country), many pools, 450 m long water river, themed areas, artificial waves, Jacuzzis, diving cliff, bar, wellness, fitness or a physiotherapy. There is also a four-star hotel serving this park.
