Kenowa Hills Public Schools is a school district headquartered in Alpine Township, Michigan in Greater Grand Rapids. It serves portions of Alpine Township, the City of Walker, and Wright Township (including Marne).

WLHT's studios are located on Ottawa Avenue Northwest in downtown Grand Rapids, while its transmitter is located in Comstock Park. Comstock Park is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,088 at the 2010 census. The community is located within Alpine Township to the west and Plainfield Township to the east.The community is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area, with the city of Walker to the south and Grand Rapids just to the southeast. Comstock Park is the home of the West Michigan Whitecaps, an affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, who play their games at LMCU Ballpark. The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park also passes through the community.

The station is licensed to Walker, Michigan, and serves the Grand Rapids metropolitan area radio market. WTRV is a Class A station, so it is limited to 3,000 watts. Its signal can be heard as far south as Otsego, far east as Ionia, and as far north as Fremont. The studios and offices are on Ottawa Avenue NW in Grand Rapids. The transmitter is on Peach Ridge Avenue NW at 3 Mile Road, near Interstate 96.

LMCU Ballpark is a baseball stadium located in Comstock Park, Michigan, just north of Grand Rapids. Established as Old Kent Park in 1994, the stadium hosts a minor league baseball team, the West Michigan Whitecaps, and other sporting events. The ballpark's Fifth Third Burger was featured on an episode of Man v. Food. A fire damaged some of the first base side of the stadium on January 3, 2014, but the stadium re-opened in time to host the Whitecaps for the 2014 season.

DeltaPlex Arena & Conference Center (formerly Grand Rapids Stadium, Stadium Arena, and Turner Arena) is a 5,000-seat multipurpose arena in Walker, Michigan, United States. It was the home of the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League and the Grand Rapids Wanderers of the Major Arena Soccer League 3. It was built in 1952 and since then the DeltaPlex sports, entertainment and convention complex has grown around the arena. The arena is a 23,000-square-foot (2,000 m2) space, which has a 52-foot (16 m) ceiling, seats up to 8,000 for concerts and has 1,088 loge seats. It has a 60-by-56-foot portable stage. DeltaPlex Arena is a venue usable for not only sports and concerts but also trade shows, conventions, concerts and special events. The Arena is set to close for good in July of 2022.

It is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan area and is bordered by the city of Grand Rapids on the east.

Paul C. Miller–Sparta Airport (FAA LID: 8D4) is a public airport located 3 mi (5 km) southeast of Sparta, Michigan. Established in 1941, the airport is currently owned and operated by the Village of Sparta and is self-supporting, requiring no public funding. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a regional general aviation facility.The airport has a 4,033 x 75 ft. E-W primary runway. The airport is used for primarily for general aviation and currently has flight training, through either Sparta Aviation Services or the West Michigan Flight Academy. 100LL and Mogas fuels are available 24 hours a day via a self-serve pump.

Ahavas Israel Cemetery is located at 1801 Garfield Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is the cemetery for the Conservative Ahavas Israel congregation. The Ahavas Achim Cemetery was created in 1916 by members of the Ahavas Achim and the Workmen's Circle. The Ahavas Achim was a conservative community founded by Orthodox members that had split from Grand Rapid's Temple Beth Israel in 1908. The Workmen's Circle was a service organisation for Jewish men. Temple Beth Israel and Ahavas Achim eventually merged in 1947, having begun discussions on a merger in 1937 prompted by the financial pressures of maintaining two Orthodox congregations in the midst of the Great Depression in the United States. The cemetery was renamed the Ahavas Israel Cemetery in 1962.
