Maasdam

Cillaarshoek is a hamlet in the western Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard, South Holland, about 15 km south of Rotterdam. Cillaarshoek was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1832, when it became part of the municipality of Maasdam. In 1984, it became a part of the existing municipality of Strijen while the rest of the municipality of Maasdam was merged into the new municipality of BinnenmaasThe Dutch Reformed church is an aisleless with a little wooden tower which was built shortly after its predecessor was demolished in 1838.Cillaarshoek is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Klaaswaal. Binnenmaas (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɪnə(n)maːs] (listen)) was a municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of in 2019, and covers an area of 75.57 km2 (29.18 sq mi) of which 6.31 km2 (2.44 sq mi) is water. It is named after the lake of the same name. The municipality was formed on January 1, 1984, by the merger of the municipalities Puttershoek, Maasdam, Mijnsheerenland, Westmaas, and Heinenoord. On January 1, 2007, the municipality 's-Gravendeel was added to Binnenmaas. On January 1, 2019 it was merged with Cromstrijen, Korendijk, Oud-Beijerland, and Strijen to form the municipality of Hoeksche Waard.The municipality of Binnenmaas consists of the following communities: Blaaksedijk, De Wacht, Goidschalxoord, 's-Gravendeel, Greup, Heinenoord, Kuipersveer, Maasdam, Maasdijk, Mijnsheerenland, Puttershoek, Reedijk, Schenkeldijk, Sint Anthoniepolder, Westdijk, Westmaas and Zwanegat.

Sint Anthoniepolder is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 14 km south of the city of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Hoeksche Waard.The Dutch Reformed church dates from the 16th century, but has a tower from before 1358. The Poldersche Molen is a polder mill from 1749. In 1935, a pumping station was installed, but the windmill remained in service until c. 1957. Between 1974 and 1977, it was restored and is regularly in service, because during a storm the windmill can drain more than twice as much water than the pumping station.Sint Anthoniepolder was a separate municipality from 1817 to 1839, when it became part of Maasdam.Sint Anthoniepolder is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Klaaswaal. It has place name signs, however there is a directional sign to Sint Anthoniepolder. The hamlet consists of about 60 houses.

Puttershoek is a village and former municipality in the western Netherlands. It is located on the banks of the Oude Maas, on the island Hoeksche Waard, in the province of South Holland. On 1 January 1984, the municipality of Puttershoek was merged with several others into Binnenmaas. With 6,293 inhabitants (1 January 2005) Puttershoek was the largest settlement in the municipality of Binnenmaas until 's-Gravendeel joined Binnenmaas in 2007. Since 1 January 2019, it is part of the new municipality Hoeksche Waard.

Strijen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstrɛiə(n)] ) is a town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality, covering an area of 57.70 km2 (22.28 sq mi) of which 6.85 km2 (2.64 sq mi) is water, is located on the Hoeksche Waard island along the Hollands Diep estuary. On 1 January 2019 it was merged with the municipalities of Binnenmaas, Cromstrijen, Korendijk, and Oud-Beijerland to form the municipality of Hoeksche Waard. Strijen hosts a public library, swimming pool, a small shopping centre and a local museum. Furthermore, Strijen is home to an important and welcome resting stop for migrating birds, especially geese. During winter, the endangered Eurasian spoonbill uses this area as a foraging ground. The municipality of Strijen also includes the population centres of Cillaarshoek, De Klem, Mookhoek, Oudendijk, and Strijensas.

Zwanegat is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland and is part of the municipality Hoeksche Waard. Zwanegat lies between Westmaas and Sint Anthoniepolder. Zwanegat is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Maasdam and Strijen. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 40 houses.

Kuipersveer is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland and is part of the municipality Hoeksche Waard. The village lies next to the Oude Maas between the villages of Puttershoek and Heinenoord. Kuipersveer is not a statistical entity, and considered part of Heinenoord. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 20 houses. It used to have a sugar factory, but it has been turned into a nature area.

Kijfhoek is a small village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 4 km west of the town of Zwijndrecht. Kijfhoek was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1857, when it merged with Groote Lindt.North of Kijfhoek lies one of the largest railway yards of the Netherlands.

Blaaksedijk lies between Puttershoek, Mijnsheerenland and Heinenoord. Blaaksedijk is considered part of Mijnsheerenland. It has place name signs, and consists of about 350 houses.At the nearby industrial area Boonsweg the "Nettorama" is located, one of the largest supermarkets of the Hoekse Waard, formerly known as the "Witte Boerderij" (White Farm). The "Witte Markt" (White Market) is also located there, a flea market which continues to attract a large number of visitors every Saturday.

Kleine-Lindt is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 10 km south the city of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Zwijndrecht. Kleine-Lindt was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1857, when it merged with Heerjansdam.

Heerjansdam (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦeːrjɑnzˈdɑm] (listen)) is a village in the western Netherlands, in the municipality of Zwijndrecht, South Holland. It has a population of 3,590.
