The Church of St Cyriac and St Julitta is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Swaffham Prior, Cambridgeshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands in an elevated position above the village street, the B1102 road, some 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Cambridge. It is less than 30 metres (100 ft) from the adjoining Church of St Mary, and both churches share the same churchyard.

Swaffham Prior is a small village in East Cambridgeshire, England. Lying 5 miles west of Newmarket, and two miles south west of Burwell, the village is often paired with its neighbour Swaffham Bulbeck, and are collectively referred to as 'The Swaffhams'. Swaffham Prior was often known as Great Swaffham in past centuries. It should not be confused with the town of Swaffham in Norfolk. The village is the first in the United Kingdom to use a rural heating network. The 1.7-megawatt system uses a combination of solar panels, heat pumps, underground storage and electric boilers. It delivers heat via a network of heavily insulated pipes under the streets. Homes that connect to it can tap into the heat via existing radiators and hot water appliances without changing equipment. The installation of the £12 million system was made possible by a £3 million government grant and a local government loan along with resident payments via household bills spread over 60 years.

The railway station at Swaffham Prior was on the Cambridge and Mildenhall branch of the Great Eastern Railway. The railway began operating to Swaffham Prior in 1884; the station closed in 1962, and then passed into private ownership. It is located on Station Road and is still inhabited.

Burwell Castle was an unfinished medieval enclosure castle in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, England.

Burwell railway station was on the Cambridge and Mildenhall branch of the Great Eastern Railway. After the closure of the line, the site of Burwell station was redeveloped, initially as a cardboard factory, and then a few decades later as a housing estate. The names of the streets Station Gate and Railway Close hint at the site's past usage.

Burwell is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England, some 10 miles (16 km) north-east of Cambridge. It lies on the south-east edge of the Fens. Westward drainage is improved by Cambridgeshire lodes (waterways), including Burwell Lode, a growth factor in the village. A population of 6,309 in the 2011 census was put at 6,417 in 2019.

The Burwell Museum (also known as Burwell Museum and Windmill) is located in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, England. The museum depicts life through the centuries on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens. Opened in 1992, it is housed in a collection of different period and period style agricultural buildings. Some are reconstructed from other sites, such as the 18th century timber-framed barn, and others are built in the local style using mainly reclaimed materials, such as the wagon sheds/granary display area. The displays are set out as 'scenes' (rather like stage sets) with many individual artefacts making each display, in order to give visitors a better idea of how, where and when items were used. Themes and exhibits include agriculture, period rooms and household items, military life, a blacksmith's shop, a reconstruction of a Roman potter's workshop, Victorian school room, vintage vehicles, carts and farm equipment The museum is also welcoming to school trips and was used in 2012 to film a TV documentary about Cambridgeshire fen folklore, featuring eight local school children. Adult groups are also welcome. The neighbouring Grade II* listed windmill, Stevens' Mill, is also part of the museum and can be visited when the museum is open.

Wicken is a small village on the edge of The Fens near Soham in East Cambridgeshire, ten miles north east of Cambridge and five miles south of Ely. It is the site of Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve.

Wicken Fen is a 254.5-hectare (629-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Wicken in Cambridgeshire. It is also a National Nature Reserve, and a Nature Conservation Review site. It is protected by international designations as a Ramsar wetland site of international importance, and part of the Fenland Special Area of Conservation under the Habitats Directive.A large part of it is owned and managed by the National Trust. It is one of Britain's oldest nature reserves, and was the first reserve cared for by the National Trust, starting in 1899. The first parcel of land for the reserve was donated to the Trust by Charles Rothschild in 1901. The reserve includes fenland, farmland, marsh, and reedbeds. Wicken Fen is one of only four wild fens that still survive in the enormous Great Fen Basin area of East Anglia. There 99.9% of the former fens have been replaced by arable cultivation.

Swaffham Bulbeck is a small village in East Cambridgeshire, England. Swaffham Bulbeck is located about 8 miles (13 km) from the city of Cambridge, and 6 miles (10 km) from the famous racing town of Newmarket. The parish of Swaffham Bulbeck is part of the Diocese of Ely and the Deanery of Fordham and Quy. The benefice consists of five parishes, Swaffham Bulbeck, Swaffham Prior, Bottisham, Lode and Quy. Children initially attend primary school in the village and usually then go on to Bottisham Village College.
