Central Lake, Michigan

Central Lake Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,159 at the 2020 census. The village of Central Lake is located within the township.

The Dingman River is the name for a portion of the Intermediate River in Antrim County, Michigan. The Dingman River flows 2.7 miles (4.3 km) from Scotts Lake northwest to Sixmile Lake, entirely within Echo Township. Via the Elk River Chain of Lakes, water from the Dingman River flows to Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan.

Torch Lake Township is a civil township of Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Located in the Northern Lower Peninsula, the township comprises an isthmus between the eponymous Torch Lake and Grand Traverse Bay, a bay of Lake Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 1,212, a slight increase from 1,194 at the 2010 census.

Torch Lake is a lake in the Northern Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. At 19 miles (31 km) long, is Michigan's longest inland lake, and at approximately 29.3 mi2 (76 km2), it is Michigan's second largest inland lake, after Houghton Lake. It is a popular lake for fishing, featuring lake trout, rock bass, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, muskellunge, pike, ciscoes, brown trout, steelhead, rainbow trout, atlantic salmon and whitefish.

Ellsworth is a village in Antrim County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 349 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Banks Township. The village is primarily a bedroom community with its primary industry being gravel and other aggregates. Agriculture and forestry are also important industries. Ellsworth is home to a small annual festival called the Pig Roast, which involves a parade and horse pulls and roast pork. Ellsworth is the seat of Banks Township, which also includes the community of Atwood and several cherry orchards. Ellsworth's main governing body is the Ellsworth Village Council. The town is named after Elmer Ephraim Ellsworth, the first Union officer to die in the American Civil War.

The county is bordered to the west by Grand Traverse Bay, a bay of Lake Michigan.

The Henry Richardi House is located at 402 North Bridge Street in Bellaire, Michigan. It was originally built for Henry Richardi, a late 19th century lumber baron and industrialist, reportedly in an attempt to woo a young woman for a wife. It currently operates as the "Grand Victorian Bed and Breakfast." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
