Little Bardfield

Hawkspur Green is a hamlet in the civil parish of Little Bardfield, in the Uttlesford district, in the county of Essex, England. It is located near the villages of Great Bardfield and Finchingfield. Hawkspur Green contains one listed building called Moor Hall (grade II listed). From 1936 to 1940 it was the site of the Q Camp, an experimental community.

Great Sampford is a village and civil parish on the junction of the B1053 and B1051 roads in the Uttlesford district, in the north-west of the English county of Essex. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 586. The village includes a primary school, two places of worship and one public house. It is located three miles to the north-east of the town of Thaxted and eight miles to the south-east of Saffron Walden. It used to have a RAF airfield called RAF Great Sampford. The River Pant runs through the south of the village. It is connected to Hempstead by Howe Lane. The village contains two churches - the Baptist Church, which also owns a small hall adjacent to the property, used by the community for the pre-school; and also a Church of England parish church, St Michael's. Also in the village is a green and cricket club. Next to the green is a playground which includes a skatepark, donated by the National Lottery Fund, a zip wire funded by an Uttlesford District Council Community Grant, a small football pitch and a tennis court.

Holder's Green is a hamlet near the village of Lindsell, in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. The hamlet is the site of the Essex Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve of 'Sweetings Meadow' which can be found on the hamlet's western approach from Richmonds Green. Holder's Green contains two listed buildings including Wayhours and Wrens. Other nearby settlements include the towns of Great Dunmow and Thaxted and the hamlets of Richmond's Green and Bustard Green.

Spains Hall is an Elizabethan country house near Finchingfield in Essex, England. The building has been Grade I listed since 1953.The hall is named after Hervey de Ispania, who held the manor at the time of the Domesday Book in 1086. From then until 2019, the land was continuously owned and occupied by three families – the de Ispania family, the Kempe family, who acquired it when Margery de Ispania married Nicholas Kempe in the early fifteenth century, and the Ruggles family (later the Ruggles-Brise family).
