Newton Park

Bath Spa University is a public university in Bath, England, with its main campus at Newton Park, about 3+1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) west of the centre of the city. The university has other campuses in the city of Bath, and one at Corsham Court in Wiltshire. The institution gained full university status in August 2005, having been previously known as Bath College of Higher Education, and later Bath Spa University College.

The Alfred Jewel is a piece of Anglo-Saxon goldsmithing work made of enamel and quartz enclosed in gold. It was discovered in 1693, in North Petherton, Somerset, England and is now one of the most popular exhibits at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. It has been dated to the late 9th century, in the reign of Alfred the Great, and is inscribed "AELFRED MEC HEHT GEWYRCAN", meaning "Alfred ordered me made". The jewel was once attached to a rod, probably of wood, at its base. After decades of scholarly discussion, it is now "generally accepted" that the jewel's function was to be the handle for a pointer stick for following words when reading a book. It is an exceptional and unusual example of Anglo-Saxon jewellery.

Newton St Loe Castle was a fortified manor house in the village of Newton St Loe, Somerset, England. Parts of it survive: a 14th-century keep and 15th-century gatehouse, both Grade I listed buildings.

The Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity in Newton St Loe within the English county of Somerset is a Grade II* listed building.A church has stood on the site, close to Newton St Loe Castle and Newton Park, since the 11th century, however the current stone building was constructed in the 14th with the tower being added in the 15th. It was restored in 1857. The bell tower has a clock face with only one hand.

Wilmington is a hamlet in the civil parish of Priston within the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset, England. It is nestled in the hilly countryside between the villages of Marksbury, Newton St Loe, Stanton Prior and Priston, 5 miles (8 km) west of Bath. It was previously in the hundred of Keynsham. The Domesday Book shows that in 1086 the settlement formed part of the estates of Bath Abbey under the lordship of a Walter Hussey, and consisted of nine households and a mill, with 10 acres of meadow and 10 of pasture.Wilmington Farm, adjacent to the hamlet, is a cattle farm of 320 acres owned by the Duchy of Cornwall.

Kelston Park is an 18th-century country house in the village of Kelston, approximately 3 miles from Bath in North East Somerset, England. Altogether the house and gardens of Kelston Park cover an area of approximately 75 hectares (190 acres). The house has been designated as a Grade II* listed building, and the garden is Grade II* listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.The River Avon, Bristol & Bath Railway Path, the A4 and the railway track between Bristol and Bath can be viewed from the rear of the building, which is now primarily used as offices.

Priston Mill is a Grade II listed former watermill in Somerset, England. It is about 4 miles (6 km) south-west of the city of Bath and is used as a venue for weddings and other gatherings.A Priston Mill was granted by the king to the monks of Bath Abbey in 931, though the current four-storey structure dates from the 18th century. It is powered by a 25-foot (8 m) overshot water wheel which is maintained in working condition.Next to the mill is a tithe barn that was built in the late 18th to 19th century. Like the mill itself, the barn is Grade II listed.

Saltford railway station was a small station on the Great Western Main Line between Bath and Bristol in use between 1840 and 1970. It served the village of Saltford, Somerset. A local group is campaigning to have the station reopened.
