The City of Federal Heights is a home rule municipality located in western Adams County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 14,382 at the 2020 United States Census, a +25.42% increase since the 2010 United States Census. Federal Heights is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. The current Mayor is Linda S. Montoya, who was elected to a four-year term in 2019.

Iver C. Ranum High School was a public secondary school operated by Adams County School District 50 near Westminster, Colorado, United States, from 1961 to 2010. The high school was located in the Sherrelwood neighborhood in Adams County. It was named in honor of Iver Ranum, Superintendent of Adams County School District 50 from 1950 to 1975. The last class of Ranum High School graduated on May 8, 2010. The high school has been replaced by the new Westminster High School. The building that housed Iver C. Ranum High School currently houses Iver C. Ranum Middle School.

The Union High School in Westminster, Colorado is an Art Deco style high school built in 1929 that was the first high school serving the Westminster area of Adams County, Colorado. The original building was intended to be built at a cost of 21,500 dollars. The school saw its last graduating class in 1949, when the school was converted to a junior high school.The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Harris Park School is a school building in Westminster, Colorado that was built from 1892–1899. The building was originally Romanesque Revival in architecture style, but was remodeled in the 1920s to incorporate the Craftsman style.The building continues to serve schoolchildren today, now under the name of Pleasant DeSpain, Sr. School. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Westminster station is a Regional Transportation District (RTD) commuter rail station on the B Line in Westminster, Colorado, part of the Denver metropolitan area. The station opened on July 25, 2016, and became the interim northern terminus of the B Line until extensions north toward Boulder and Longmont are built. From Westminster, B Line trains travel 6 miles (9.7 km) south to Union Station in Denver, taking about 11 minutes.The station consists of a single platform on the north side is situated on the south side of the tracks. It will have a 350-stall park and ride that can be expanded to 1,000 spaces and a public plaza, both located on the north side of the tracks. The station is connected to the nearby Adams County residential neighborhood by a 165-foot-long (50 m) pedestrian bridge over the tracks, platform, and nearby Little Dry Creek. The underpass of the station, connecting to the north plaza, is home to a 90-foot-long (27 m) art installation by Brian W. Brush called "Grotto", which consists of high-density polyethylene plastic tubes lit by LED lights in an array of colors.The City of Westminster plans to encourage transit-oriented development in a 135-acre (55 ha) area around the station; a 40-acre (16 ha) park and open space is also planned for the south side of the station area.
