Riverwood is a home rule-class city in northeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 446 at the 2010 census.

Maryhill Estates is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 179 as of the 2010 census.Maryhill Estates incorporated in 1963 and was developed in the early 1960s. Developer John A. Walser purchased the land from the Archdiocese of Louisville after World War II and named the development after the Virgin Mary.It is one of numerous small cities in Jefferson County which have resisted annexation or merger. Merger with nearby St. Matthews or Windy Hills has been discussed but not pursued.

Rolling Fields is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 646 at the 2010 census. It incorporated as a city in 1958.It was the fifth-wealthiest city in Kentucky by median household income in 2000. It is adjacent to the similar small cities of Indian Hills and Mockingbird Valley, and all three are served by the Indian Hills Police Department.After settlement by Europeans, the land was part of the Veech family farm for over 100 years. Land from the farm was also developed into Indian Hills and the adjoining Louisville Country Club. Most of the homes in Rolling Fields were built in the 1940s and 1950s.

Cherrywood Village is a neighborhood and former city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. Cherrywood Village was annexed by the City of St. Matthews in 2001. The population was 327 at the 2000 census.

Historic Locust Grove is a 55-acre 18th-century farm site and National Historic Landmark situated in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky in what is now Louisville. The site is owned by the Louisville Metro government, and operated as a historic interpretive site by Historic Locust Grove, Inc. The main feature on the property is the ca. 1790 Georgian mansion that was the home of the Croghan family and gathering place for George Rogers Clark, Lewis and Clark, and U.S. Presidents. In addition to the mansion there is the Visitors Center that houses a gift shop, museum and meeting space. Dozens of African Americans were enslaved at Locust House by the Croghans between 1790 and 1849. At the peak of the farm's operations in 1820, more than 40 enslaved people labored there.

The Zachary Taylor House, also known as Springfield, was the boyhood home of the 12th president of the United States, Zachary Taylor. Located in what is now a residential area of Louisville, Kentucky, Taylor lived there from 1785 to 1808, held his marriage there in 1810, and returned there periodically the rest of his life.

Ridgeway is a Federal-style house built in 1805 in Louisville, Kentucky near St. Matthews, Kentucky. It is located at 4095 Massie Avenue. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.It is a one-story brick house with brick laid in Flemish bond. Its design includes "three principal masses or pavilions" each "surmounted by a hipped roof. It has a tetrastyle Doric portico which was admired by architectural critic Rexford Newcomb in his book Architecture In Old Kentucky.Landscape architect Arthur W. Cowell designed gardens for Ridgeway in the 1920s.

Zachary Taylor National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located at 4701 Brownsboro Road (US-42), in Louisville, Kentucky. It is named for Zachary Taylor, the 12th president of the United States, who is buried there with his wife, Margaret Mackall Smith Taylor. Zachary Taylor National Cemetery was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on November 3, 1983. As of 2014, the cemetery has over 14,000 interments and is one of seven national cemeteries in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and one of 112 in the United States. Those buried at the national cemetery served in six wars: Spanish–American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War.The cemetery began as the Taylor family cemetery and holds the graves of the president's parents, Richard Taylor, a colonel in the American Revolutionary War, and Sarah Strother Taylor, and other family members.

The Midlands is a private house in Indian Hills, Kentucky in suburban Louisville built 1913–1914; it is listed on the American National Register of Historic Places. It was built for Marion Dumont Belknap, who was the widow of Louisville businessman Morris B. Belknap, who had died in 1910. It was designed by the Louisville firm of E.T. Hutchings.It was listed on the National Register in 1983. The listing included two contributing buildings on 6.2 acres (2.5 ha).
