Old Brownsboro Place is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States, and a part of the united Metro government. The population was 353 at the 2010 census.

Graymoor-Devondale is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The city is the result of the merger of the former cities of Graymoor and Devondale. The population was 2,870 at the 2010 census.

Ballard High School is a high school in the eastern suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky, and is a part of the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) school district. The school opened in the fall of 1968. The first students were in grades 7-9, and a grade was added each year as the building was expanded. This kept the school system from having to transfer upper class students from other high schools. The first class (consisting of the original freshmen) graduated in 1972. From its founding until the mid-1980s the principal was Patrick Crawford. Sandy Allen served from the mid-1980s to the 2003–2004 school year. The principal from 2004 through 2013 was Jim Jury. Staci Edelman was the 4th and shortest standing principal, from 2015 to 2017, with a term marked by racial tension and controversy. The current principal is Jason Neuss. The school offers grades 9-12. Ballard participates in the Jefferson County Public Schools Advanced Program, a program designed to provide accelerated instruction for academically gifted and talented students. The school also offers over 20 advanced placement courses.

Spring Valley is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. Spring Valley Estates, begun in 1964, remained an unincorporated area until September, 1983. At that time, the City of Spring Valley was established to provide services. The current mayor is Gerri Willis. The population was 654 at the 2010 census. Population has increased to 837 based on the 2020 census.

Westport Middle School, formerly known as Westport High School, was founded in October, 1961 as Westport Road High School, on Westport Road on the East Side of Louisville, Kentucky. It serviced students from 7th through 12th grade, with its first class of seniors graduating in 1965. The last class of Seniors graduated in the Spring of 1981, and beginning in the Fall of that year, the school was re-organized as a middle school. Today it services students from 6th to 8th grade.. Westport offers the Montessori Magnet, Advanced Placement, and Honors Programs, as well as their behavioral places are B.R.T or PAC, I.S.S or ISAP.

Springdale is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky located along Brownsboro Road and Barbour Lane. The community is named for the family farm purchased by Laurence Young and his family in 1830, which was intersected by present-day Brownsboro Road, with the estate on the south side of the road. The Young family's Springdale farm today is the site of the Standard Country Club, as well as portions of Barbourmeade, Goose Creek and Brownsboro Farm. Though it is not a formally recognized neighborhood or district within Louisville, nor does it have official boundaries, older businesses and institutions in the community still retain the Springdale name, and the name was used to refer to the area until it was subdivided in the 1950s and '60s.

Crossgate is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 225 at the 2010 census.

Portland Christian School, based in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, is a private Christian school traditionally supported and affiliated with those Churches of Christ which held to a premillennial eschatology characteristic of Robert Henry Boll. Founded in 1924 in the rear of the Portland Avenue Church of Christ in the Portland neighborhood with Boll's support, today the school system has over four hundred students at its campus on the east side of Louisville. The former college-level division of PCS was the School of Biblical Studies, which became Kentuckiana Bible College. The college closed in 2018. Portland Christian is operated by the non-profit Portland Christian School System, Inc., which was formed in 2005 after it and Portland Ave. Church of Christ decided that "the operations of the [school] system has outgrown the ability of the Church to administer".

Plantation is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States, and a part of the Louisville Metro government. The population was 832 at the 2010 census, down from 902 at the 2000 census.

Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 5101 US Hwy 42, in Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. Originally the Adath Israel Temple, it adopted its current name following a merger, however is more commonly known as The Temple. Prior to merging, the congregations resided in several buildings. Adath Israel Temple's third synagogue building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974; and the associated cemetery was listed in 1982.

Barbourmeade is a home rule-class city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. It was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1962. The population was 1,216 as of the 2020 census, stagnant from 1,218 at the 2010 census.The community derives its name from Thomas and Richard Barbour, early settlers for whom Barbour Lane is named. Barbourmeade incorporated as a city in October 1962, with a population of 150.
