Portland Christian School, based in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, is a private Christian school traditionally supported and affiliated with those Churches of Christ which held to a premillennial eschatology characteristic of Robert Henry Boll. Founded in 1924 in the rear of the Portland Avenue Church of Christ in the Portland neighborhood with Boll's support, today the school system has over four hundred students at its campus on the east side of Louisville. The former college-level division of PCS was the School of Biblical Studies, which became Kentuckiana Bible College. The college closed in 2018. Portland Christian is operated by the non-profit Portland Christian School System, Inc., which was formed in 2005 after it and Portland Ave. Church of Christ decided that "the operations of the [school] system has outgrown the ability of the Church to administer".

It serviced students from 7th through 12th grade, with its first class of seniors graduating in 1965. The last class of Seniors graduated in the Spring of 1981, and beginning in the Fall of that year, the school was re-organized as a middle school. Today it services students from 6th to 8th grade.. Westport offers the Montessori Magnet, Advanced Placement, and Honors Programs, as well as their behavioral places are B.R.T or PAC, I.S.S or ISAP.

Springdale is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky located along Brownsboro Road and Barbour Lane. The community is named for the family farm purchased by Laurence Young and his family in 1830, which was intersected by present-day Brownsboro Road, with the estate on the south side of the road. The Young family's Springdale farm today is the site of the Standard Country Club, as well as portions of Barbourmeade, Goose Creek and Brownsboro Farm. Though it is not a formally recognized neighborhood or district within Louisville, nor does it have official boundaries, older businesses and institutions in the community still retain the Springdale name, and the name was used to refer to the area until it was subdivided in the 1950s and '60s.
