The 1971 shooting of Dallas County and Ellis County Sheriff's Deputies (also known as the Trinity River Massacre) occurred on February 15, 1971, when Rene Guzman and Leonardo Lopez abducted five law enforcement officers in West Dallas, Texas, killing three officers and injuring one at a site near the Trinity River. One deputy was able to escape the shooting and call for help. Guzman and Lopez were suspects in a burglary in Ellis County, Texas, and the officers were obtaining consent-to-search forms when they were abducted. Guzman and Lopez were able to escape after the shootings, beginning a manhunt that led to their arrest in East Dallas. Guzman and Lopez were tried, found guilty, and sentenced to death. However, following issues in the court case and the death penalty being declared unconstitutional, they were given a retrial. Both were given four life sentences. Lopez was paroled in 1991, but was incarcerated again for a separate case.

Trammell Crow Park is a public park located in downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The park spans a wide area, from the border with Irving in the west, to the downtown area to the east. The park was named for real estate developer Trammell Crow. The Trinity River flows through the center of the park, with the West Fork, and Elm Forks entering near Irving, and numerous smaller creeks meeting the river, including Knights Branch Creek, Cedar Creek, and Coombs Creek. A number of bridges also pass over the park, notably the Margaret McDermott Bridge, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the Interstate 35E.

Stevens Park Village is a neighborhood in northern Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA), named for its developer, John P. Stevens.

The Consulate-General of Mexico in Dallas (Spanish: Consulado-General de México en Dallas) is a diplomatic mission of Mexico in Dallas, Texas, United States. Alfredo Corchado of The Dallas Morning News said that as of 2009, in terms of activity and size of the area Mexican population, the Dallas consulate is considered to be the third most important Mexican consulate after Los Angeles and Chicago.The consulate moved from 8855 North Stemmons Freeway to 1210 River Bend Drive in January 2009.On Wednesday May 6, 2009, lawyers filed a class action lawsuit in the Dallas County District Court; in it four Dallas County residents said that "corruption and greed" were in the consulate. In August 2009 the Mexican government announced that it would remove Enrique Hubbard Urrea, the consul general, from his post due to allegations of corruption. Hubbard was very popular with area immigrants.

La Réunion was a utopian socialist community formed in 1855 by French, Belgian, and Swiss colonists on the south bank of the Trinity River in central Dallas County, Texas (US). The colony site is a short distance north of Interstate 30 near downtown Dallas. The founder of the community, Victor Prosper Considerant, was a French democratic socialist who directed an international movement based on Fourierism, a set of economic, political, and social beliefs advocated by French philosopher François Marie Charles Fourier. Fourierism subsequently became known as a form of utopian socialism.Initially, plans for the colony were loosely structured by design as it was Considerant's intent to make it a "communal experiment administered by a system of direct democracy." The crux of the plan was to allow participants to share in profits derived from capital investments and the amount and quality of labor performed. La Réunion existed for only eighteen months with its demise attributable to financial insolvency, a shortage of skilled participants, inclement weather, inability to succeed at farming, and rising costs. On January 28, 1857, Allyre Bureau, one of the society leaders, gave formal notice of the colony's dissolution. By 1860, what remained was incorporated into the expanding city of Dallas.

Medical/Market Center station is a Trinity Railway Express commuter rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is located at Motor Street and Medical Center Drive along the Stemmons Corridor (Interstate 35E) in North Dallas. It opened on December 30, 1996, and serves Dallas Market Center and the nearby medical district which includes Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children's Medical Center of Dallas, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Zale Lipshy Pavilion – William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.

On September 24, 2025, a shooter identified as Joshua Jahn shot three people detained by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at an immigration facility near Interstate 35E in the Love Field area of Dallas, Texas, before shooting and killing himself. The shooter fired multiple rounds from a nearby rooftop down into the field office's sally port. One of the victims was killed on scene, while the other two were taken to nearby hospitals in critical condition. One of the two injured victims later died from his injuries six days later. All three were shot in a van in the sally port. No officers or staff were injured. Jahn, who had no known political affiliations or overt anti-ICE activity online, had a prior drug-related arrest and some experience with firearms. Authorities found unfired ammunition, one round marked "ANTI-ICE", at the scene and anti-ICE notes in his personal effects, leading investigators to conclude that the attack was a premeditated terrorist act, but that he acted alone and was targeting ICE agents rather than detainees. Details of the attack and Jahn's background remain under investigation.

Parkland Memorial Hospital is a hospital in Dallas, Texas, United States. It is the main hospital of the Parkland Health & Hospital System and serves as Dallas County's public hospital. It is located within the Southwestern Medical District. The hospital is staffed by the faculty, residents, and medical students of UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Stevens Park Golf Course is a public golf course in the Kessler area of Dallas, Texas United States. Often described as the "Little Augusta" of North Texas, the course is located just west of Downtown Dallas and nestled between the Stevens Park Estates and Kessler Park neighborhoods.

West Kessler (which also comprises the "annexed" neighborhood of Stevenswood) is a neighborhood named for George E. Kessler in northern Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas (USA).Most of the neighborhood is bounded by Hampton Road on the west, Davis Street (SH 180) and the L. O. Daniel neighborhood on the south, Oak Cliff Boulevard on the east and the Stevens Park Golf Course on the north. The Stevenswood annex includes Bison Trail and Stevens Wood Lane & Court to the east of Oak Cliff Boulevard.

William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital is a hospital in the Southwestern Medical District in Dallas, Texas, United States. It is one of the main teaching hospitals of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Bernal/Singleton Transfer Location is a bus-only station located along Bernal Drive and Singleton Blvd. in Dallas, Texas (USA). Unlike many transit centers, Bernal/Singleton Transfer Location does not provide parking, however it does provide an air conditioned/heating facility available on weekday rush hours. It was intended to become a future rail station on the west rail line towards Grand Prairie as part of DART's 2030 Transit System Plan, though the line was removed from subsequent plans.
