RHS Garden Rosemoor

The Rolle Canal (or Torrington Canal) in north Devon, England, extends from its mouth into the River Torridge at Landcross 6 miles southwards to the industrial mills and corn-mills at Town Mills, Rosemoor, Great Torrington and beyond to Healand Docks and weir on the Torridge, where survive the ruins of Lord Rolle's limekilns, upstream of today's Rosemoor Garden. Town Mills were built by Lord Rolle and were powered by a stream which flowed past his seat of Stevenstone to the east of Great Torrington and also supplied water to the canal. Rosemoor and North and South Healand farms were part of Lord Rolle's Stevenstone estate on the east bank of the Torridge.

The Pannier Market in Great Torrington in Devon is a Victorian pannier market of 12 small indoor shops - six either side of a narrow cobbled lane built in 1842 and restored in 1999. The Market House building at the front of the complex has been a Grade II* listed building on the Historic England Register since 1951.

Little Torrington is a village and a civil parish near Great Torrington, in the Torridge district, north Devon, England. In 2001 the population of the civil parish of Little Torrington was 420 and in 2011 it was 376, according to census data. Little Torrington has the Church of St Giles and the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene. In the 1870s, Little Torrington was described as follows:"A bridge over the river Torridge, at Taddyport village, connects the parish with Great Torrington. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Exeter. Value, £397. Patrons, the Heirs of Lord Rolle and others. The church is ancient but good."

Torrington Football Club are an English association football club based in Great Torrington, Devon. Founded in 1908, the club currently compete in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East. Based at Vicarage Field, Torrington have previously played in the Western League, South Western League and Devon and Exeter League, and rejoined the North Devon League in 2007. Known by the nicknames "Torrie" and "The Super Greens", Torrington have won a number of local honours, including one Western League Division One title, five North Devon League Premier Division titles and one North Devon League Senior Division title. Great Torrington School is a mixed secondary school located in Great Torrington in the English county of Devon.Previously a foundation school administered by Devon County Council, Great Torrington School was converted to academy status on 1 August 2011. However the school continues to coordinate with Devon County Council for admissions. Pupils are normally admitted from Beaford Primary School, Buckland Brewer Primary School, Dolton CE Primary School, Great Torrington Junior School, Horwood & Newton Tracey Primary School, Langtree Community School, Monkleigh Primary School, Shebbear Community School, The Clinton CE Primary School and West & East Putford School.Following a summer 2018 protest in which male pupils wore skirts and female pupils supported them by wearing trousers, accompanied by a petition, the school agreed in 2019 that pupils would be permitted to wear shorts during the summer term, while still requiring them to adhere to other aspects of the school's uniform policy.

The Torrington and Marland Railway was a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge built to carry clay from the quarries at Clay Moor to Torrington in north Devon.
