Woltersdorf, Brandenburg

The Fidushaus is a historic house in Brandenburg germany that was once home of the Jugendstil artist Hugo Höppener, better known as Fidus. It is located at Köpenicker Straße 46 in the municipality of Woltersdorf in Brandenburg, Germany, near the capital city of Berlin. The house is next door to that of the composer Arno Rentsch and his wife Elsa Langer-Howard, who convinced Fidus to move to Woltersdorf. Fidus used the house to host a variety of völkisch splinter groups, including the St. Georgs-Bund, Wandervogel and other anti-establishment groups. The building was listed as being of significance in 1977, and the efforts to preseve the building have been awarded the Brandenburg Heritage Conservation Award. There has been some concern about the house attracting far-right tourist attention due to Fidus' membership of the Nazi Party. The Fidushaus has a sophisticated skylight arrangement on its roof. Many artists at one time lived in the area of the house, forming a colony. As of 2001, the house had been renovated by its owner at a cost of 1.6 million Deutsche Mark (€820,000). There had been several attempts at restoring the Fidushaus and making it into a museum, none of which have been successful.

Erkner station is the passenger station in the town of Erkner situated east of Berlin in the German state of Brandenburg. It is located at kilometre 24.3 on the Berlin-Frankfurt railway. The station also includes a carriage shed for historic rollingstock of the Berlin S-Bahn.

The Dämeritzsee (German pronunciation ) is a lake located in Brandenburg and Berlin, Germany. At an elevation of 32 metres (105 ft), its surface area is 93.5 hectares (231 acres). It is located partly in the municipality of Erkner (Oder-Spree district) and part in Rahnsdorf, a Berliner locality in Treptow-Köpenick district.The lake forms part of the course of the River Spree, and is the location of that river's confluence with the short Flakenfließ that flows out of the Flakensee. The reach of the Spree downstream to the Müggelsee is also known as the Müggelspree.The Muggelspree and the Flakenfließ are both navigable, and the lake is also linked to the nearby Seddinsee by the Gosen Canal. The lake sees considerable sightseeing and leisure traffic, and also forms a link in a commercial navigation route from the limestone workings at Rüdersdorf, which reaches the Flakensee by a lock at Woltersdorf, and connects to the River Dahme and the Oder-Spree Canal via the Seddinsee.

Berlin Wilhelmshagen station is located on the Berlin-Frankfurt (Oder) railway and the Berlin S-Bahn. It is located in the settlement of Wilhelmshagen in the suburb of Rahnsdorf in the district of Treptow-Köpenick and is the last stop in the suburbs of Berlin of the line to Erkner. It is served by the S-Bahn line S3.

Rüdersdorf is a municipality in the district Märkisch-Oderland, in Brandenburg, Germany, near Berlin. It is served by the Schöneiche bei Berlin tramway which runs from Rüdersdorf through Schöneiche to Berlin-Friedrichshagen station on the Berlin S-Bahn network. Bundesautobahn 10 passes through the town.

Tabor Church (Wilhelmshagen) (German: Tabor-Kirche) is one of the three churches of the Evangelical Berlin-Rahnsdorf Congregation, a member of today's Protestant umbrella organisation Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. The church building is located in the quarter Wilhelmshagen, locality Rahnsdorf, borough Treptow-Köpenick of Berlin. The church was named in memory of the Transfiguration of Jesus, which allegedly took place on Mount Tabor הר תבור in today's Israel.

Rahnsdorf (German pronunciation: [ˈʁaːnsˌdɔʁf] (listen)) is a locality (Ortsteil) of Berlin, Germany, located in the southeast of the Berlin borough (Bezirk) of Treptow-Köpenick. Until 2001 it was part of the former borough of Köpenick.

The Gosen Canal (German: Gosener Kanal) is a canal in the eastern suburbs of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. It takes its name from the village Gosen, at the southern end of the canal. It is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) in length and links the Dämeritzsee and Seddinsee lakes. The Dämeritzsee and Seddinsee are both navigable, with the Seddinsee providing a link to the River Dahme and the Oder-Spree Canal, and the Dämeritzsee providing a link to the Müggelspree reach of the River Spree and to the Flakensee.Although the plan for the Gosen Canal goes back to 1872, construction did not start until 1933, and the canal opened in 1936. The principal reason for the construction was to provide an alternative route for commercial shipping between Berlin (via the Dämeritzsee) and the Oder-Spree Canal (via the Seddinsee) during the 1936 Summer Olympics, when the more normal route via the Langer See was closed in order to use the regatta course at Grünau for the Olympic canoeing and rowing events. Another explanation is that the canal was built to bring the coal from Königs Wusterhausen to the Klingenberg power station in Berlin-Rummelsburg.The canal is navigable by boats with a draught of up to 2 metres (6 ft 7 in). It has no locks, but is crossed by a single bridge (which is planned to be rebuilt by 2022), with a maximum clearance of 4.3 metres (14 ft). Small craft are also able to navigate between the two lakes using the roughly parallel Gosener Graben.Besides seeing considerable sightseeing and leisure traffic, the canal today also forms a link in a commercial navigation route from the limestone workings at Rüdersdorf, which reaches the Flakensee by a lock at Woltersdorf.

Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg (colloquially "Giga Berlin") is a European manufacturing plant for Tesla, Inc. in Grünheide (Brandenburg), Germany. The campus is located 35 kilometres (20 mi) south-east of central Berlin near the Berlin Brandenburg Airport. It is Tesla's first manufacturing location in Europe.The facility and its Brandenburg location were announced by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in November 2019 at the Das Goldene Lenkrad award show. The factory is planned to produce batteries, battery packs and powertrains for use in Tesla vehicles, and also assemble the Tesla Model Y, with a proposed start of production in 2021. Construction work had begun by early 2020 with site preparation and foundation work underway. According to a January 2020 publication by the local environmental agency, the factory was expected to begin operations in July 2021. It was delayed due to administrative troubles. However, the "Giga Fest", celebration of completion was held in October 2021. On 22 March 2022, the factory was officially opened.

Grünheide (Mark) is a municipality in the Oder-Spree District, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 30 kilometres south-east of Berlin city centre, on the River Löcknitz. In 2020 Tesla, Inc. began to build Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Grünheide near the Autobahn A10.
