Słodowiec metro station

Słodowiec is a neighbourhood, and an area of the City Information System, in the city of Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Bielany.

The Monument to the Volhynia 27th Home Army Infantry Division is located in Skwerze Wołyńskim (Volyn Square) beside the main thoroughfare Trasa Armii Krajowej in northern Warsaw. It commemorates the contribution of the Armia Krajowa's 27th Infantry Division during World War II, especially fighting the Ukrainian Insurgent Army at the time of the Volhynia massacres. The memorial was designed by sculptor Kazimierz Danilewicz (who was born in Volhynia). It was unveiled on 12 September 1993. The monument is shaped like a large stone sword. On the 13 July 2003 a set of 11 stone column "candles" was unveiled, commemorating the martyrdom of Poles from Volhynia's 11 counties, the victims of the Volhynia massacres. Each column has a coat of arms and a name of a county from Volhynia. The columns are terminated with a "wick" - the columns are illuminated from below with lights hidden in the pavement. To the right of the monument is a bust of General Jan Wojciech Kiwerski, a leader of the infantry division, who died during the war.

Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw (Polish: Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego Józefa Piłsudskiego w Warszawie) is a public institution of higher learning in Warsaw, Poland. Named after early 20th century Polish statesman Józef Piłsudski, it was founded in 1929 as the Central Institute for Physical Exercise. During the communist period (1947–1990) it was renamed to Karol Świerczewski Academy of Physical Education (Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego im. gen. broni Karola Świerczewskiego). Its rector is Bartosz Molik (elected for the 2020–2024 cadence).Part of the academy is located in Biała Podlaska.

Metro Marymont is the 17th working station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro, opened on 29 December 2006 as the northern terminus of an extension from Plac Wilsona. It is located in the Marymont neighbourhood of Warsaw. Since the station has no reversing facility of its own, from its opening until 20 March 2008 it was connected to the rest of the network by a single train providing shuttle service to the nearest station at Plac Wilsona. With the completion of the next station on the line, Słodowiec, equipped with a reversing facility, on 23 April 2008, this was no longer necessary, and Marymont station is now serviced by all metro trains running on the line.

Metro Stare Bielany became the 19th working station on Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro when it opened on 25 October 2008 as part of the extension from Słodowiec to Młociny. It had been under construction since June, 2006. Originally, the station was to be called Bielany. The station is distinctive due to a series of wooden relief sculptures on the walls.

Marymont (from French Mont de Marie - Mary's Hill) is one of the northern neighbourhoods of Warsaw, Poland, administratively a part of the boroughs of Żoliborz (Marymont-Potok) and Bielany (Marymont-Kaskada and Marymont-Ruda). Named after the queen of Poland Maria Kazimiera, wife of King John III Sobieski, it initially housed a small summer manor. In the 18th century, it became notable for the large number of windmills located there on the high escarpment of the Vistula. In the 19th century, the area became one of the favourite weekend resting places, joined with the city centre by boat communication and a horse tram. In the 1920s, parts of the neighbourhood were built-up with residential areas. The Marymont Warsaw Metro station opened here in December 2006.

The Confederation Square (Polish: Plac Konfederacji) is an urban square in Warsaw. It is located in the district of Bielany, at the crossing of Płatnicza Street, Lipińska Street, Schroegera Street, and Daniłowskiego Street. The square was build in the late 1920s.

The Żywiciel's Soldiers Park is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland. It is located in the district of Żoliborz, between Popiełuszki Street, Próchnika Street, Sarmatów Street, and Harcerska Street. It was opened in the 1950s.

The Main Library of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (Polish: Biblioteka Główna Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie) is the central research library of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. It is located in Bielanski Forest Nature Reserve, next to the historic Camaldolese Church and hermitage buildings, which date back to the 17th and 18th century. The library was founded in 1954 with a 30,000-volume donation by the Theological Faculty of Warsaw and Jagiellionian Universities. Today, it is associated with the four other faculty libraries the University Library System, operating on two university campuses—Dewajtis and Wóycickiego, headed by the director of the University Library. The University Library holds nearly 500,000 printed items, with literary collections concerning theology, philosophy, history, psychology, and social sciences. It is also well known for having the largest ecclesiastical sciences book collection in Poland. The UKSW library is a member and the co-founder of the Federation of Church Libraries, also known as "Fides".

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (Polish: Uniwersytet Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie) is a state university in Warsaw. It was founded in 1999, and it is named after Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński of Poland. It offers religious studies at the faculties of theology, Canon law and Christian philosophy under the patronage of Archbishop of Warsaw issuing permits (missio canonica) to academic staff at those faculties. The secular studies with particular sensitivity to Christian values fall under the Ministry of Education.

Camaldolese Church, dating from the 17th–18th centuries and situated among the buildings of the hermitage in the Bielański Forest, is one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Warsaw.
