103rd Street (Rosemoor) is a commuter rail station along Metra Electric's main line in the Rosemoor neighborhood of Chicago. It is located at 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, and is 13.1 miles (21.1 km) away from the northern terminus at Millennium Station. In Metra's zone-based fare system, 103rd Street (Rosemoor) is in zone C. As of 2018, the station is the 217th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 36 weekday boardings.The station shares part of its name with two other stations on the Rock Island District line to the west. The first is on the main line in Washington Heights, and the other is on the Beverly Branch (or "Suburban Line") in the Beverly Hills neighborhood of Chicago to the west. This 103rd Station is the nearest Metra Electric station to Gately Stadium Park, which is used both by high school and Chicago State University athletic teams. Although Metra gives the address as 103rd Street & Cottage Grove Avenue, parking areas are actually located on 103rd Street and Dauphin Avenue. 103rd Street (Rosemoor) station was temporarily closed on November 20, 2023 for reconstruction. The station is planned to have an elevator installed for ADA compliance. Construction is expected to take about seven months.

WRTO (1200 kHz) is an AM radio station in Chicago, Illinois. It currently broadcasts a Spanish-language sports format. It is owned by the Latino Media Network. Under a local marketing agreement (LMA), it was programmed by previous owner TelevisaUnivision's Uforia Audio Network until giving full operations of the station to the owner in the fall of 2023. By day, WRTO is powered at 20,000 watts. But 1200 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A station WOAI San Antonio. So at night, to avoid interference, WRTO reduces power to 4,500 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times, with a six-tower array. The transmitter is on West 127th Street in Chicago, near the Little Calumet River.

It is located at 107th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, and is 13.5 miles (21.7 km) away from the northern terminus at Millennium Station. In Metra's zone-based fare system, 107th Street is in zone C. As of 2018, the station is the 222nd busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 27 weekday boardings.The station consists of a wooden platform between the tracks over a bridge with street-level connections. No parking is available at the station; however, there is a connection to two of the Chicago Transit Authority's bus routes.

Cougar Stadium is a baseball venue in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It was home to the Chicago State Cougars baseball team of the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference until the baseball program was discontinued on June 23, 2020. The field hosted its first game on March 18, 2014.

Pullman National Historical Park is a historic district located in Chicago, Illinois, United States, which in the 19th century was the first model, planned industrial community in the United States. The district had its origins in the manufacturing plans and organization of the Pullman Company and became one of the most well-known company towns in the United States, as well as the scene of the violent 1894 Pullman strike. It was built for George Pullman as a place to produce the Pullman railroad-sleeping cars.Originally built beyond the Chicago city limits, it is in the Pullman community area of Chicago. The district includes the Pullman administration buildings and the company's Hotel Florence, named after George Pullman's daughter, as well as housing originally built for workers and managers. Also within the district is the A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum, named for the prominent labor and civil rights leader A. Philip Randolph, which recognizes and explores African American labor history. Parts of the site were acquired by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency prior to being gifted to the federal government. Additional grounds remain owned by the state, as the Pullman State Historic Site. The Pullman District, including the national historical park, state historic site, and private homes is east of Cottage Grove Avenue, from East 103rd St. to East 115th St. It was named a Chicago Landmark district on October 16, 1972. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 8, 1969 and declared a National Historic Landmark on December 30, 1970.Preservationists had hoped to extend the district to include Schlitz Row, but the taverns located there have been demolished. President Barack Obama named the site a national monument on February 19, 2015, making it a component of the National Park System. It was redesignated a National Historical Park in 2022. In celebration of the 2018 Illinois Bicentennial, Pullman was selected as one of the Illinois 200 Great Places by the American Institute of Architects Illinois component and was recognized by USA Today Travel magazine as one of AIA Illinois's selections for Illinois 25 Must See Places.

The Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center, also known as the Jones Convocation Center or simply the JCC, is a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Chicago, Illinois. Completed in 2007, the arena is home court for the Chicago State University Cougars men's and women's basketball teams. The arena replaced the Dickens Athletic Center, which only had capacity to seat 2,500 persons.The convocation center is unique among Illinois university athletic projects, as Chicago State University itself did not need to raise any money for the project; the money was allocated from the State of Illinois Treasury by then Senate President Emil Jones.The venue hosted the 2012 and 2013 Great West Conference men's basketball tournament.

Dickens Athletic Center is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Chicago, Illinois. It was home to the Chicago State University Cougars basketball teams until late 2006, when it was replaced by the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center. It currently hosts the school's volleyball program.

Chicago State University (CSU) is a predominantly black (PBI) public university in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1867 as the Cook County Normal School, it was an innovative teachers college. Eventually the Chicago Public Schools assumed control of the school from the county and it became Chicago Teachers College (CTC). Northeastern Illinois University began as a branch campus of CTC in 1949. In 1951, the State of Illinois began funding the college, and assumed control in 1965, transforming it into a comprehensive state college. In 1967, it became Chicago State University. CSU is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

The Burnside Shops were a major shop for maintenance of locomotives and railroad cars in Chicago, Illinois. The shops were owned and operated by the Illinois Central Railroad. The Illinois Central maintained a presence in Burnside since at least 1862, when it built a station there.In 1968, the Illinois Central agreed to sell the site to Chicago State University. Burnside was replaced by new facilities built at Markham Yard in Harvey and Homewood, Illinois.

95th Street/Chicago State University is an electrified commuter rail station along Metra Electric's main line on the northeast corner of Chicago State University in Chicago, Illinois. The station is located at 95th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, and is 12.0 miles (19.3 km) away from the northern terminus at Millennium Station. In Metra's zone-based fare system, 95th Street/Chicago State University is in zone C. As of 2018, the station is the 224th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 24 weekday boardings.Like much of the main branch of the Metra Electric line, 95th Street-CSU is built on elevated tracks near the embankment of a bridge over 95th Street. This bridge also carries the Amtrak line that runs parallel to it, carrying the City of New Orleans, Illini, and Saluki trains. In addition the line, which is owned by Canadian National Railway has a connection to the Norfolk Southern Railway which crosses over the tracks as well as Cottage Grove Avenue, between Lyon and Burnside Avenues. In April 2004, the Chicago State University master plan called for a new station south of the existing one. On August 1, 2019, it was announced that Metra and Chicago State University would substantially renovate the station. The work will consist of a new platform, stair enclosure, an elevator and at least one on-demand heater. The completion of the work would lead to regularly scheduled stops.

111th Street (Pullman) is a commuter rail station on Metra Electric's main branch in the Pullman neighborhood on the far south side of Chicago, Illinois. It is located at 111th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue, and is 14.0 miles (22.5 km) away from the northern terminus at Millennium Station. In Metra's zone-based fare system, 111th Street (Pullman) is in zone C. As of 2018, the station is the 219th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 31 weekday boardings.The station is little more than a platform between the tracks over a bridge with street-level connections. No parking is available at the station, however there is a connection to two of the Chicago Transit Authority's bus routes. The station was reconstructed with a waiting shelter, custom signage, and a total makeover to attract more passengers to the nearby Pullman National Monument.
