Ruth is an unincorporated community and locality in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, United States. The community is located at 30.238°N 91.882°W / 30.238; -91.882. The village is 8.3 miles (13.4 km) east of Lafayette on the Bayou Teche and the Louisiana Highway 351.

The Patin House, at 219 W. Bridge St. in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, was built in 1895. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.It includes elements of Stick/eastlake and Queen Anne style.

Breaux Bridge (; French: Pont-Breaux; Cajun French: Pont-(de)-Breaux pronounced [pɔ̃ndbʁo]) is a small city in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 8,139 as of the 2010 census, up from 7,281 in 2000. By 2020, its population was 7,513. It is part of the Lafayette metropolitan statistical area. Originally dubbed "La Capitale Mondiale de l’Écrevisse," Breaux Bridge was officially designated the Crawfish Capital of the World by former Speaker of the Louisiana House of Representatives Bob Angelle. Breaux Bridge hosts an annual Crawfish Festival, and is regionally noted for listing nicknames in its telephone directory.

Breaux Bridge High School (BBHS or BBSH) is a senior high school in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. It is a part of the St. Martin Parish School Board.

The Cajun Classic Open Invitational was a golf tournament in Louisiana on the PGA Tour in the late 1950s and 1960s, played at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, usually in late November. It debuted as the Lafayette Open Invitational in 1958, and in many years was the last tournament on the PGA Tour schedule, which attracted players fighting for position on the money list. John Barnum, the only man in the history of the PGA Tour to earn his first win after age 50, won this event in 1962 at age 51. Barnum was also the first player to win on Tour using a Ping putter.The 1963 tournament began on Thursday, November 21, but during the second round the following day, news of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy swept the course. Saturday's play was postponed in deference to the news, with the tournament finishing on Sunday with the final two rounds being played. It lost the last tournament slot on the 1969 schedule and the resulting smaller field caused monetary problems that resulted in the tournament folding.

T.M. Landry College Preparatory (also known simply as T.M. Landry) was an unaccredited, co-educational private college-preparatory school in Lafayette, Louisiana for grades K–12. The school initially made headlines for its 100% acceptance rate into 4-year colleges, but received negative attention in 2018 as the subject of an investigative report by The New York Times, detailing allegations of abuse of students and fabrication of transcripts and college applications. In 2019, the Federal Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation on the school. Following the controversy, the school's co-founders, Michael and Tracey Landry, stepped down from the school board but continued to serve as teachers at the school. As of 2022, the school has been closed.

The Comeaux House is a historic house located at 101 East 2nd Street in Broussard, Louisiana. Built in c.1908 by Edmond Comeaux and his wife Cecile St. Julien Comeaux, the house is a Queen Anne-Colonial Revival style residence with semi-octagonal bay at each end of the facade, a semi-octagonal Doric front gallery and a corner turret. The building was converted to a restaurant with small alterations which did not affect its main architectural features.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 14, 1983.The structure is actually hosting Nash's Restaurant.
