Wylie House is a historic structure built in 1835 and located in Bloomington, Indiana. It was home of Andrew Wylie, first president of Indiana University, until his death in 1851. In 1859, following the death of Andrew's widow Margaret, Theophilus Adam Wylie, professor at Indiana University and half-cousin to Andrew, purchased the house from their heirs and his family resided there until his widow's death in 1913. Today Wylie House is operated as an historic house museum by Indiana University Libraries to interpret the lives of these families.

The Legg House is a historic former farmhouse in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Built in the middle of the nineteenth century, it has experienced a range of uses, culminating in its present status as an Indiana University office building. After a period of deterioration, it was restored to its original condition, and it has been designated a historic site.

Home Laundry Company is a historic laundry building located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. The original section was built in 1922, and is a two-story, roughly square, red brick building. A one-story Moderne style wraparound addition was built in 1947–1948. It continued to house a laundry when listed in 2000 and currently houses a Chinese restaurant..: 5, 14 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) is a non-proft professional organization that supports research, training, and education in practical and professional ethics. It was founded in 1991 with support from Indiana University and the Lilly Endowment to encourage interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching among educators and practitioners. The association sponsors the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl. The association was hosted on the Indiana University Bloomington campus until mid-2017, when APPE moved to the Prindle Institute for Ethics at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company Plant is a historic Coca-Cola bottling plant located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. The original section was built in 1924, and is a two-story, roughly square, red brick building. A one-story section was added in a renovation of 1938–1939, along with Art Deco style design elements on the original building. It closed as a bottling plant in 1989, and subsequently converted for commercial uses.: 5, 14 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Indiana University Maurer School of Law is located on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The school is named after Michael S. "Mickey" Maurer, an Indianapolis businessman and 1967 alumnus who donated $35 million in 2008. From its founding in 1842 until Maurer's donation, the school was known as the Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington.The law school is one of two law schools operated by Indiana University, the other being the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (IU McKinney) in Indianapolis. Although both law schools are part of Indiana University, each law school is wholly independent of the other.

Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) serves the 138,000 citizens of Monroe County, Indiana, through the Main Library in downtown Bloomington, the Ellettsville Branch, and the Bookmobile. The library’s special services include the Learn and Play Space, a preschool discovery center; VITAL, an adult literacy program; CATS, a five-channel community access television network; the Indiana Room, a local history and genealogy collection and grants center (part of the Foundation Center’s Cooperating Collections National Network); and service to inmates at the Monroe County Correctional Center.

Kirkwood Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Indiana University. It is located in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. It is named for Daniel Kirkwood (1814–1895) an astronomer and professor of mathematics at Indiana University who discovered the divisions of the asteroid belt known as the Kirkwood Gaps.

Princess Theatre, also known as the Princess Theatre Building, is a historic theatre building located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. It was built in 1892, and converted and enlarged for use as a theater in 1913. It was subsequently refurbished to its present appearance in 1923. It is a two-story, rectangular, brick building with a glazed terra cotta front. The front facade features full-height pilasters and an arched opening with decorative brackets. The theater portion of the building was removed in 1985.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the Courthouse Square Historic District.

Seminary Square Park, also known as the Seminary Park, is a historic public park located at Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana. It was established in 1816 by an Act of Congress as the original site of Indiana Seminary, a preparatory school that by 1838 became Indiana University. The first building was erected on the site in 1824, and it remained the school campus until Indiana University moved to its new campus in 1883. The Old College building, built in 1854, remained in use as a school until destroyed by fire in 1967. The site was subsequently established as a public park in 1975.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Boxcar Books was a non-profit, independent bookstore, infoshop, and community center in Bloomington, Indiana. Collectively run by volunteers, Boxcar Books was "one of the highest-volume zine sellers" in the United States. According to its website, the store existed to "promote reading, self-education, social equality, and social welfare through increased accessibility to literature and workshops." Boxcar Books was for a time also the home of the Midwest Pages to Prisoners Project, a non-profit organization that distributes books and reading materials to prisoners. By the end of 2017, Boxcar Books had closed their operations.

The Buskirk-Chumley Theater, formerly the Indiana Theater, is a historic theater in Bloomington, Indiana. Originally built for vaudeville in 1922, it was also used for silent films and became a movie theater. More recently it was renovated for use as a performing arts venue. It hosts a variety of shows and performances. The theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The theater is located in the Courthouse Square Historic District. The theater has a distinctive red neon marquee that says "Indiana". The theater was built in Spanish mission revival architecture style and held 616 seats when it was built. It is known locally as the "Indiana Theater" or the "Bus-Chum". It was used as a movie theater until 1995 when it was donated to the community for use as a performing arts center. The theater is located at 114 East Kirkwood Avenue.
