Downtown LaPorte Historic District is a national historic district located at LaPorte, LaPorte County, Indiana. The district encompasses 70 contributing buildings in the central business district of LaPorte. It developed between about 1860 and 1930, and includes examples of Queen Anne, Romanesque Revival, and Neoclassical style architecture. Notable buildings include the Zahrt Blocks (1868, 1874), Ridgway Hotel (1863), Higday and Collins Blocks (1886–1888), LaPorte County Courthouse (1890–1894), Odd Fellows Building (1895), Lonn's Block (1889), People's Bank (1912), U.S. Post Office (1912), New York Central Depot (1909), Masonic Temple (1910), and Hotel Rumely (1912).It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The LaPorte County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse in La Porte, Indiana, the county seat of LaPorte County. It was designed by Brentwood S. Tolan and built from 1892 to 1894. It is Richardsonian Romanesque architecture in style and was built with Lake Superior Red Sandstone. The building includes a tower with skylight, gargoyles and contains stained glass. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The courthouse is part of the Downtown LaPorte Historic District.

Francis H. Morrison House is a historic home located at LaPorte, LaPorte County, Indiana. It was built in 1904, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, frame dwelling in an eclectic combination of popular revival styles including Tudor Revival, Gothic Revival, Classical Revival, and American Craftsman. It has a hipped roof with dormers, a two-story sleeping porch, Palladian window, and stuccoed areas with curved corner pieces.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located in the Indiana and Michigan Avenues Historic District.

Located in the district is the separately listed Francis H. Morrison House. Other notable buildings include the Hobart M. Cable, Jr., House (c. 1925), Rear Admiral R. R. Ingersoll Residence (1908), John Secor House (c. 1890), Swan-Anderson House (1870), Carnegie Library (1920), Emmett Scott House (1915), Frank Osborn House (c. 1895), Henry McGill House (c. 1863, 1881), First Presbyterian Church (1862), Winn House (c. 1875), First Church of Christ Scientist (c 1890, 1920), and St. Paul's Episcopal Church (1895-1898).It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Marion Ridgeway Polygonal Barn located in LaPorte County on the southern edge of LaPorte, Indiana, is a multi-sided barn. Built in 1878 by Marion Ridgeway and called the Door Prairie Barn. The barn sits east of highway 35 surrounded by woods and cultivated fields. The nine-sided barn is south of a rectangular barn. The barn has nine sides and is two stories tall. The roof is capped with a sectional cone roof with a nine-sided cupola in the Gothic Revival/Italianate style. Within the louvered panels trim pieces resemble a lancet arch. The post and beam frame sits on wooden sill propped on stone.
