Kachess Lake

Lake Easton State Park is a 697-acre (282 ha) Washington state park in Kittitas County. The park sits in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range and has 24,000 feet (7,300 m) of shoreline on Lake Easton. Park activities include picnicking, camping, hiking, mountain biking, boating, fishing, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing, and horseshoes.

Kachess River is a tributary of the Yakima River, in the U.S. state of Washington. From its source on Chickamin Ridge in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness region of the Cascade Range, the Kachess River flows south into Kachess Lake, a natural lake regulated as a reservoir by Kachess Dam. Below the dam, the Kachess River flows south and then empties into the Yakima River at Lake Easton.

Lake Easton is a lake and reservoir along the course of the Yakima River in the U.S. state of Washington. It is located in Township 20N, Range 13E. The Yakima River flows into the lake from the west, and out to the southwest, through the 1929 Easton Diversion Dam. The Kachess River also flows into the lake from the north, where it effectively empties into the Yakima River. Lake Easton is located south of Interstate 90 and northwest of Easton and is the primary attraction of Lake Easton State Park. Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail is immediately south of the lake. The lake is not stocked and has only fair fishing for rainbow, cutthroat and eastern brook trout after late May.

Easton State Airport (IATA: ESW, ICAO: KESW, FAA LID: ESW) is a public use airport located two nautical miles (3.7 km) north of the central business district of Easton, in Kittitas County, Washington, United States. It is owned by the Washington State Department of Transportation's Aviation Division. It was constructed in the 1930s by the federal government as an emergency field for DC-3s crossing the Cascades through Snoqualmie Pass. It was acquired by the state in 1958 to preserve it for future use. Easton remains as an important airport on the eastern approaches to Snoqualmie and Stampede Pass.

The Easton Diversion Dam is a diversion dam on the Yakima River In western Kittitas County near Easton, Washington. The dam is 66 feet (20 m) high, and 248 feet (76 m) long along the crest. Construction of the dam began in 1928 and was completed the next year. It is currently owned by the Bureau of Reclamation and operated by the Kittitas Reclamation District.

Easton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kittitas County, Washington, United States. The population was 478 at the 2010 census. Easton is the annual site of the start/finish line for the Cascade Crest 100-mile ultra-running race.

French Cabin Mountain is a triple-peak mountain located in Kittitas County of Washington state. The highest summit is West Peak, elevation 5,724-feet, the South Peak is 5,560-feet-elevation, and the North Peak is 5,498-feet. French Cabin Mountain is situated six miles north of Easton, between Kachess Lake and Cle Elum Lake, on land managed by Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains north into French Cabin Creek and south into Silver Creek, which are both part of the Yakima River drainage basin. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 1,700 feet (520 meters) above Silver Creek in one mile, and the east aspect rises 3,400 feet (1,000 meters) above Cle Elum Lake in one and a half miles (2.4 km). French Cabin Mountain is the toponym officially adopted by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, however "Frenchman Mountain" is a variant. West Peak is also an official toponym.

Cle Elum Lake is a lake and reservoir along the course of the Cle Elum River, in Washington state USA. At the site of the future city of Cle Elum, Washington, a Northern Pacific Railway station was named Clealum after the Kittitas name Tle-el-Lum (tlielləm), meaning "swift water", referring to the Cle Elum River. The lake was also labeled as Kleattam Lake in maps of the 1850s.

Lavender is an unincorporated community in Kittitas County, in the U.S. state of Washington.The name Lavender comes from the semi permanent hunting camp established for John Lavender who was an early Washington resident from Lavendertown, next door to Selleck, Washington.

The Martin Ski Dome was a ski area located in Martin, Washington. Martin is an extinct town in the northwest United States, in Kittitas County, Washington. Stampede Pass is near to the west. The town was named Martin because of the nearby Martin Creek. The creek was originally named Pine-Marten Creek because an American marten was killed nearby.

Meany Lodge is a 54-acre (22 ha) ski area located in Martin, Washington near Stampede Pass, Washington, United States. It was built in 1928, making it the oldest ski area in Washington and among the oldest in the U.S. Meany Lodge is maintained and operated by volunteers of The Mountaineers, a non-profit group, and is located in the Wenatchee National Forest near the eastern portal of the Stampede Pass Train Tunnel. Meany Lodge has a PSIA certificated ski school and offers lessons to alpine skiers, cross country skiers, touring skiers, snowshoers, and snowboarders. Lessons are available when booking reservations. Reservations are needed for day and overnight use. Overnight reservations include a bunk and all meals. The lodge capacity is 97 persons.

Baker Lake is a small freshwater lake located within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness in a valley on the northern slope of Keechelus Ridge between Keechelus Lake and Kachess Lake in Kittitas County, Washington, United States. Big Creek, a tributary to the Taylor River, exits Baker Lake into a canyon that produces Big Creek Falls. Because of its proximity to Rampart Ridge, Interstate 90 and the cirque of Keechelus Ridge a short distance to the south, the lake is a popular area for hiking, swimming, and fishing brook trout, golden trout and rainbow trout. Access to Baker Lake is provided through Keechelus Ridge off Forest Road 126. A short distance southwest is Microwave Hill, which is named because of a microwave radio tower on its summit.
