Calgary-East (formally styled Calgary East) is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. The district is mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. Calgary-East has existed twice, the first incarnation was created from Calgary North East in the redistribution of 1963. The riding was abolished in 1971 when it became Calgary-McCall. The return of Calgary-East happened in the 1993 boundary redistribution when Calgary-Forest Lawn and half of Calgary-Millican were merged. This riding covers the central north east portion of Calgary and contains the neighbourhoods of Vista Heights, Rundle, Marlborough and Mayland Heights. Three MLAs have held this riding to date. The first Calgary East was represented by Social Credit MLA Albert Ludwig and the second Calgary-East solidly supported Progressive Conservative candidate Moe Amery, until the 2015 Alberta election when the riding was won by NDP candidate Robyn Luff.

Forest Heights is a residential community in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Forest Heights is represented under Ward 9. Forest Heights is not to be confused with Forest Lawn, which sits directly to the south of the community. These two communities are listed as distinct identities from one-another by the City of Calgary. The community is apart of an group of communities known as the Greater Forest Lawn area, with the term coming from the former town of Forest Lawn which used to exist in the area prior to being annexed by the city of Calgary. Other communities in this area include Forest Lawn, Southview, Penbrooke Meadows, Dover, and Red Carpet.

Marlborough Mall is a shopping mall located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Opened in November 1971, the mall has expanded several times and today includes approximately 100 stores and services, and encompasses over 584,000 square feet. The mall also featured a Safeway until the 1990s, when the store moved to its own location west of 36th Street.The current anchor store is Wal-Mart, as Sears closed its doors in March 2017.

Marlborough Station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta. It serves the Northeast Line (Route 202) and opened on April 27, 1985, as part of the original northeast line. The station is located in the median of 36 Street NE, located near its intersection with 8 Avenue NE/Marlborough Drive NE. The station is 6.5 km (4.0 mi) from the City Hall Interlocking and is located near Calgary's Marlborough neighborhood and also serves nearby businesses along 36 Street NE, including Marlborough Mall. Pedestrian overpasses connect the station to both sides of 36 Street NE. Stairs, escalators, as well as an elevator provide access down to the center-loading platform. 485 spaces of the mall facility are now owned by Calgary Transit and are designated for park-and-ride service. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms have been extended. Marlborough station saw new furnishings in addition to a platform extension. Construction started in the late Summer of 2013, and was finished in January 2014. In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 19,600 boardings per weekday, the busiest station in the system other than the downtown platforms.

Lester B. Pearson High School is a public senior high school located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada administered by the Calgary Board of Education. The school is named for Nobel Laureate and Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson. The school has offered the French Immersion program since 2003 and in the following year of September 2004, Lester B. Pearson became a fully accredited International Baccalaureate World School Lester B. Pearson High School is one of the five schools in Calgary to be offering the International Baccalaureate Programme in English, the school also offers opportunities to earn a combination of French Immersion and IB course certificates.

Rundle is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 32 Avenue NE to the north, 16 Avenue NE (Trans-Canada Highway) to the south, 52 Street NE to the east and 36 Street NE to the west. The Sunridge Mall is located immediately west of the neighbourhood. Rundle is home to a large Lebanese group. Rundle was established in 1973 and was named after Robert Terrill Rundle, a missionary who worked in Western Canada in the mid-19th century. (Rundle is actually one of four communities built in the 1970s in NE Calgary. These four communities together are known as "The Properties", and all four were named after nearby mountains: Mounts Rundle, Pineridge, Whitehorn and Temple). It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 10 councillor.The community is served by the Rundle station of the C-Train LRT system. The postal code in this area is T1Y.

Forest Lawn is a neighbourhood and former town in the southeast quadrant of the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood is bound by 26 Avenue SE to the south, 36 Street SE to the west, 8 Avenue SE to the north and portions of 52 Street SE and 48 Street SE to the east. The former town comprises the entire current Forest Lawn neighbourhood as well as portions of Southview and Albert Park/Radisson Heights to the west, and portions of Penbrooke Meadows and Forest Lawn Industrial to the east. Both the neighbourhood and the former town are bisected by the multicultural 17 Avenue SE. Forest Lawn has an area redevelopment plan in place and is part of the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone. The community is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor. On a federal level, Forest Lawn falls in the electoral district of Calgary Forest Lawn and is currently represented in the House of Commons by MP Jasraj Hallan.

Forest Lawn High School is a high school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in the southeast community of Forest Lawn. The senior high school has sports teams, who are known as the Titans, drama productions, dance, band, and choir. The school is located on 44th street, and is near Ernest Morrow Junior High, Jack James Senior High, Bob Bahan Memorial Pool, and Ernie Star Arena. Forest Lawn serves the communities of Abbeydale, Albert Park, Applewood Park, Dover, Erin Woods, Forest Heights, Forest Lawn, Marlborough, Marlborough Park, Penbrooke Meadows, Pineridge, Radisson Heights, Red Carpet/Mountview Mobile Home Park, Rundle, Southview, Temple, and Whitehorn. It is bounded by 68 Street E to the east, 52 Street E to the west, Trans-Canada Highway to the north and Memorial Drive to the south. The homonymous park is located at the center of the community. The land was annexed by the City of Calgary in 1961 and Marlborough Park was established in 1972. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 10 councillor.

Rundle Station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta. It is a stop on the Northeast Line (Route 202) and opened on April 27, 1985, as part of the original line. The station is located in the median of 36 Street NE, to the north of the intersection of 20 Avenue NE/Rundlehorn Drive, right in front of Sunridge Mall. The station is 8.4 km from the City Hall Interlocking. Pedestrian overpasses connect the station to both sides of 36 Street NE. Stairs, escalators, as well as an elevator provide access down to the centre-loading platform. The station serves Rundle and the Sunridge Mall with 350 parking spaces are included across the station. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms are being extended. In addition to a platform extension, Rundle station had upgraded station furnishings installed. Construction was completed in Fall 2013.In 2005, the station registered and average transit of 11,600 boardings per weekday.On January 20, 1993, a 4-year-old child, Michael MacIntosh, got his jacket sleeve stuck at the bottom of the escalator after straying from his family. Bystanders helped him stay conscious until paramedics arrived and free his injured left arm, this was later seen on Rescue 911 on May 4, 1993, on CBS.
