WKAY (105.3 FM, "105.3 KFM') is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary format. Licensed to Knoxville, Illinois, the station serves the Galesburg area including Knoxville, Monmouth, Abingdon and surrounding communities. WKAY is owned by Galesburg Broadcasting Company. The station, known on the air as "Today's Refreshing Light Rock 105.3 KFM" or "105.3 KFM" for short, signed on the air on Wednesday, December 13, 2000. Before the "official" sign on, the station played Christmas music while testing the transmitter. "Officially", the first song played was the "Heart of Rock-n-Roll" by Huey Lewis & The News. Mornings host Chris McIntyre was the first jock to be heard on 105.3 KFM. The original on-air line-up consisted of Chris McIntyre (5:30 am – 10 am), Scott Michael (10 am – 3 pm), K.C. Fleming (3 pm – 7 pm). As of 2021, Chris McIntyre is still Program Director and host of "Mornings with McIntyre" with Nick Ischer with the News & Sports. As of 2022 the on-air line up consists of Chris McIntyre (5 am – 12 pm), and Tyler Gumm (12 pm – 6 pm). In addition to morning duties Chris McIntyre is also the Program/Music Director. The station's format is adult contemporary featuring artists such as John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Daughtry, Katy Perry, Pink, Rob Thomas, Taylor Swift, along with hits from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. On weekends, the station features an all-1970s format on Saturdays titled "Saturday in the 70s". In addition to locally hosted shows, "Saturday in the 70s" also features syndicated shows like Casey Kasem's AT 40:The 70s, The 70s with Steve Goddard, and Back to the 70s with M.G. Kelly. On Sundays, the station features an all 1980s format titled "Absolutely 80s". With locally hosted shows along with Casey Kasem's AT40: The 80s. WKAY-FM is also known as the "Christmas Station" dropping the adult contemporary format for an all Christmas format beginning at 9 am the day before Thanksgiving through Christmas Day.

WAAG (FM 94.9 MHz), known as FM 95, is a radio station licensed for Galesburg, Illinois, United States. The station is owned by Galesburg Broadcasting Company.The station has a country music format, plus presents news and market information throughout the day. One feature of the station's format is a classic country program, presented at noon weekdays and for three hours on Sunday mornings; during these blocks, music from the 1940s through early 1990s are played.

Galesburg is an Amtrak intercity train station in Galesburg, Illinois, United States. The station was originally built in 1984, after the razing of the large depot just south of the current site. It is located north of the large BNSF Classification yard. Just south the Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg diverge via the Quincy main line which bypasses the yard on the east side. The California Zephyr and the Southwest Chief continue to the southwest side of Galesburg near Knox College. There are three tracks with one island platform and one side platform. Trains to California normally arrive on the track closest to the depot, known as track one. Trains between Quincy and Chicago arrive on track two and platform on the island platform as trains divert from the main line just south of the station and eventually on to the Brookfield Subdivision. In the early 2010s, the island platform received a yellow tactile warning strip that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 at an estimated cost of $75,000. The side platform already had a tactile warning strip. It is the main area for Galesburg Railroad Days when it runs during the last weekend of June as bus tours of the rail yards originate from here. A GE Evolution Series locomotive is also put on a side track for visitors to look at. The Galesburg Railroad Museum is next to the property.

The US National Railroad Hall of Fame was established in 2003 and recognized by Congressional resolutions in 2003 and 2004. The Orpheum Theatre, originally opened in August 1916, stands on Kellogg Street in downtown Galesburg, Illinois. The Orpheum's elegance and long history made the theatre a landmark in Galesburg which boasts other landmarks such as Carl Sandburg's Birthplace, the Galesburg Railroad Museum, and Knox College, which hosted an Abraham Lincoln-Stephen Douglas debate.

The Galesburg Historic District is a 496-acre (201 ha) historic district in Galesburg, Illinois. The district includes 1049 contributing buildings and contains the town's original plat as well as several older neighborhoods. The section of the district south of North Street encompasses Galesburg's historic city center and its most significant landmarks, such as the Knox County Courthouse, the Knox County Jail, the Burlington Depot (which has since been torn down), and Main Street's commercial buildings. Knox College, the school Galesburg was founded to serve, and its historic Old Main are also located in the southern half of the district. The area north of North Street is mainly residential and is dominated by Queen Anne and Classical Revival houses, including many transitional houses displaying elements of both styles.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1976.

WGIL 1400 AM is a radio station broadcasting a news-talk-sports format. Licensed to Galesburg, Illinois, the station is owned by Galesburg Broadcasting Company. WGIL carries a variety of local programming, as well as nationally syndicated shows such as Clark Howard and Jim Bohannon.

WVKC (90.7 FM) is a 1,000-watt radio station in Galesburg, Illinois. Knox College is the station licensee, authorized by the Federal Communications Commission. WVKC is a student-operated radio station of Knox College. The call letters were originally chosen to stand for "The Voice of Knox College", although that catchphrase is not in active use. WVKC was known as "Radio-Free Galesburg" until as recently as 2005, when students decided on "No Sale Radio," again emphasizing that WVKC is a non-commercial, not-for-profit organization. In 2006, students opted to change the name to simply "The Voice," a slogan used by the station in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Central Congregational Church is a historic church on Central Square in Galesburg, Illinois. The church was built from 1897 to 1898 to serve Galesburg's newly united Congregational church. Galesburg's two congregational churches formed in the 1850s after separating from the town's Presbyterian church; the two churches united in 1895 after one church began to collapse during a service. Galesburg architect C.E. Gottschalk designed the church in the Richardsonian Romanesque style; his design features a bell tower with a pyramidal roof, numerous turrets, a 22-foot (6.7 m) wide stained glass rose window above the entrance, and detailed stonework. The brown sandstone used to construct the church was imported from Marquette, Michigan. The church's bell was formed from the bells used in the two Congregational churches before their union. In 1912, the church acquired an organ built by the M. P. Moller Company.The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 30, 1976.

Galesburg Santa Fe Station was a railway station in the west central Illinois town of Galesburg. The station was along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway's main line and served trains such as the Super Chief and El Captain. After Amtrak took over intercity rail in the United States, it was served by trains such as the Lone Star (1971–1979) and the Southwest Chief (1971–1996). Although train service ended in 1996 and it has been demolished since, the site is still used if derailments cause trains to use the Chillicothe Subdivision instead of the Mendota Subdivision.

Knox College is a private liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois. It was founded in 1837 and offers more than 60 courses of study.

Standish Park Arboretum is a 3.3 acre park located in Downtown Galesburg, Illinois. Located just north of Knox College, Standish Park Arboretum has a collection of 137 trees of 67 different species. The park is used by the Galesburg community for many events such as the annual Art in the Park festival.Walkways criss-cross the park and along all four sides of its perimeter. A gazebo used to be at the center which served as the focal point. Surrounding the Standish Park Arboretum are sites such as, to the south, Old Main (on the Knox College campus) which was the location of one of the Lincoln-Douglas debates (1858), the Knox County, Illinois Courthouse (erected in 1884–1886) to the east, and the Galesburg City Hall to the north.
