Queen of Heaven Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Hillside, Illinois, a suburban community near Chicago. The cemetery is operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Queen of Heaven is located at Wolf and Roosevelt Roads, near the Eisenhower Expressway (Interstate 290), and is adjacent to another Catholic cemetery, Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mount Carmel Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery located in the Chicago suburb of Hillside, Illinois. Mount Carmel is an active cemetery, located within the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. It is located near the Eisenhower Expressway (Interstate 290) at Wolf and Roosevelt Roads. Another Catholic cemetery, Queen of Heaven, is located immediately south of Mount Carmel, across Roosevelt Road. Mount Carmel Cemetery was consecrated in 1901 and is currently 214 acres (0.87 km2) in size. It maintained its own office until 1965, when it combined operations with Queen of Heaven Cemetery. There are more than 226,275 remains at Mount Carmel and about 800 remains are interred there annually. Mount Carmel Cemetery is also the final resting place of numerous local organized crime figures, the most notorious of these being Al Capone. In all, the cemetery grounds contain over 400 family mausoleums. Many remains at the cemetery are people of Italian ancestry. The cemetery contains hundreds of headstones and monuments adorned with statues and elaborate engravings of religious figures such as Jesus, The Blessed Mother and many saints as well as angels. Many of the tombstones contain photographs of the inhabitants, reflecting a custom common in Italian cemeteries. The cemetery contains Commonwealth war graves of two World War I soldiers of the Canadian Army.

Mar Thoma Sleeha Cathedral is a Syro-Malabar Catholic cathedral located in Bellwood, Illinois, United States. It is the seat for the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Chicago. The church was dedicated on July 5, 2008, by Cardinal Mar Varkey Vithaythil. The grotto on the cathedral grounds was dedicated by Major Archbishop George Alencherry in October 2011.

Berkeley (pronounced BURK-lee) is a village located in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Incorporated in 1924, the population at the 2020 census was 5,338.The town has a commuter railroad station on Metra's Union Pacific/West Line with service to downtown Chicago. Berkeley is situated fourteen miles west of the Chicago Loop in Cook County. Berkeley is on the western edge of Cook County. Berkeley has instant access to the metropolitan area, with Interstates 290 and 294 comprising its western and part of its southern boundaries, and the Union Pacific Railroad (originally the Chicago & North Western) and the large Proviso classification yard to the north. However, the transit arteries that link Berkeley to separate locations also function to isolate the village from its close neighbours, providing it a small-town atmosphere.

Mannheim Road, also known as La Grange Road from Cermak Road to Nebraska Street, is a north–south major street in the near-western suburbs of Chicago. It carries U.S. Routes 12 from Des Plaines to 95th St near Hickory Hills, 45 between Des Plaines on southwards past Frankfort, Illinois and carries U.S. Route 20 between Lake Street in Stone Park, Illinois and 95th St. near Hickory Hills The road is named after a former town called Mannheim, Illinois that was founded by German farmers in what is now Franklin Park. From Cermak Road on the Westchester/La Grange Park border and points to the south, it is known as La Grange Road. Mannheim Road skirts the eastern edge of O'Hare International Airport; numerous airport hotels and rental car services are located on the street near the airport. One major landmark of Mannheim Road is the Allstate Arena at the intersection of Mannheim Road and Lunt Avenue in Rosemont. It is also a favorite stomping ground for artists and musicians. The heavy metal band Diamond Rexx was inspired by and wrote their debut 1986 album "Land of the Damned" about this street. There is also a Metra station on the Milwaukee West Line at Mannheim Road; in addition, Metra's BNSF Railway Line has a stop on La Grange Road in La Grange. Also, there is an overpass that carries Mannheim Rd over Union Pacific's Proviso rail yard. There is another overpass that carries the street over Canadian Pacific's Bensenville railroad yard. At the descent of that overpass the road goes under the Tri-State Tollway. There's also a school district on the left side of the street named Mannheim School District 83 on the intersection of Grand Avenue and Mannheim Road itself in Franklin Park. North Avenue also dips under Mannheim Road in Melrose Park. On some small intersections on the part named LaGrange Road, the street signs still call the road Mannheim or 'Manheim'.

Hours of operation are determined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC); daytime broadcasting varies monthly with the changes in sunrise and sunset. Due to its close proximity to 1530 WCKY in Cincinnati, OH, its coverage diminishes during the mid afternoon. The station is also heard on 102.3 FM through a translator in Elmhurst.

Bellwood was a station on the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railroad (CA&E) serving Bellwood, Illinois, from 1902 to 1957. An adjacent station, serving the Westchester branch, existed for rapid transit purposes on the Chicago "L" between 1926 and 1951. Bellwood was one of the original stations of the Aurora, Elgin, and Chicago Railroad (AE&C) when it opened in 1902. In 1906, a branch to Mount Carmel Cemetery opened from Bellwood. The Westchester branch, originally conceived as a bypass route for the CA&E, opened in 1926 and replaced the Mount Carmel branch for passenger service. Bellwood served as the dividing line between local service provided by the CA&E and that provided by the "L"; it was the westernmost station where eastbound boarding was prohibited onto CA&E trains, as well as the westernmost station where passengers having boarded from Chicago stations were not allowed to alight.

Bellwood is a Metra commuter railroad station in Bellwood, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. It is served by the Union Pacific West Line. Trains go east to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far west as Elburn, Illinois. Travel time to Ogilvie is 26 to 33 minutes, depending on the train. As of 2022, Bellwood is served by 15 inbound trains and 16 outbound trains on weekdays, by all 10 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays and holidays. As of 2018, Bellwood is the 173rd busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 145 weekday boardings. The Union Pacific Railroad announced its intention to restore and modernize Bellwood's Metra station, and also add a third rail line, in November 2011. The $4 million renovation was finished by the fall of 2012 free of charge cost to households. The station is at Frederick Avenue and Erie Street. To the south there is a parking lot and a residential neighborhood of single-family homes. The Union Pacific Railroad’s Proviso Yard is north of the station. Immediately to the west there is an overpass that carries Mannheim Road over the freight yard. Pace suburban buses stop on Mannheim Road and on St. Charles Road, one block to the south of the station. To the east of the station is the Indiana Harbor Belt railroad bridge over the UP-W line that Union Pacific trains cross over to go into Proviso Yard.

Roosevelt, originally known as Westchester, was a rapid transit station that served the Westchester branch of the Chicago "L" between 1926 and the branch's discontinuation in 1951. It was the branch's terminus from its opening until the 1930 extension of the line to 22nd Street.

The Robbins Park Historic District is a set of three hundred and sixty-eight buildings in Hinsdale, Illinois. Two hundred and thirty-two of these builds contribute to its historical value. The district was platted by William Robbins in the 1860s and 1870s following the completion of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. Wealthy entrepreneurs moved to the district beginning in the 1890s due to its natural beauty and proximity to major golf resorts. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008 and features two houses previously honored by the register.
