Okhla is a suburban village located near Okhla barrage in the South East Delhi district of Delhi near the border between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Its nearest industrial area called commonly as Okhla Industrial Area (OIA) or Okhla Industrial Estate, an industrial suburb in South Delhi which is mainly divided into three Phases. It stands for Old Kanal Housing and Land Authority (Kanal was used instead of canal since "ch" in the abbreviated form would have been pronounced differently). Okhla has lent its name to the nearby planned township of New Okhla Industrial Development Authority or NOIDA. Okhla is also an assembly constituency.

Maharani Bagh is a residential area in South East Delhi, comprising several blocks and multiple markets. It is one of the most posh and upscale neighbourhoods of Delhi and is home to some of the most influential families from government and business. Maharani Bagh is a sought after, gated residential area within New Friends Colony and consists of residential parks surrounded by large bungalows. Some of its notable residents include BJP leader Meneka Gandhi and, spokesperson and businessman, Suhel Seth.

New Friends Colony is a posh residential colony of South East Delhi, India. It consists of A, B, C, D Blocks.It is situated near Uttar Pradesh border.

Leaf Bank is a bank located in Delhi. People deposit the fallen dry leaves of the autumn season in the Delhi Leaf Bank, and receive compost from the next year as interest. People are also given certificates from this bank after depositing the leaves, by showing which people can get compost.

The Jamia Millia Islamia University Ground is a cricket ground in Delhi, India, part of the Jamia Millia Islamia University. It was established in 1989, and is one of the best playing surfaces of Delhi. Unusually, the ground features brick sightscreens.The ground was host to a one day international during the 1997 Women's Cricket World Cup, with the Netherlands defeating Sri Lanka by 47 runs. In 2005, the ground hosted its first Test match: the match, a women's match between India and England, was drawn.

Holy Family Hospital is a 345 bed multi-specialty hospital run by the New Delhi Holy Family Hospital Society and managed by the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese. It is registered as charitable Non-Profit Organisation under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Founded by the Medical Mission Sisters in 1953.

Jamia Millia Islamia (lit. 'National Islamic University') is a central university located in New Delhi, India. Originally established at Aligarh, United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India) during the British Raj in 1920, it moved to its current location in Okhla in 1935. It was given the deemed status by University Grants Commission in 1962. On 26 December 1988, it became a central university. The foundation committee of the university included Abdul Bari Firangi Mahali, Hussain Ahmad Madani, Muhammad Iqbal, Sanaullah Amritsari, Syed Mehmood and others. Its foundation stone was laid by Mahmud Hasan Deobandi, the leader of Silk Letter Movement and the first student of Darul Uloom Deoband. Muhammad Ali Jauhar served as its first vice-chancellor from 1920 to 1923, and Hakim Ajmal Khan served as the first chancellor from 1920 to 1927. On 26 May 2017, Najma Heptulla became 11th Chancellor of university, and Najma Akhtar became the 15th Vice Chancellor in April 2019. In 2020, Jamia Millia Islamia was ranked 1st among all central universities in the country in rankings released by Ministry of Education of India. In December 2021, the university received an 'A++' ranking by National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

Jamia Islamia Ishaatul Uloom is a Deobandi Islamic school based in Akkalkuwa in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, India. It was founded in 1979 by Ghulam Mohammad Vastanvi, originally in a single hut with only six students, and by 2014 grew to two lakh students across India.Medical College & Noor Hospital received permission from the state government and the final permission from Medical Council of India, New Delhi to start an M.B.B.S. course in the year 2013 and 100 students have been enrolled into the course. Besides the MBBS College, Jamia has a 300-bed hospital where various surgical operations are carried out along with checkups, treatments, medicines, various pathology, biochemistry, microbiology investigation, X-Ray, sonography free-of-cost. There are around 600 OPD and 230 IPD patients who receive treatment each day. Doctors perform around 30 operations daily in all departments combined.

Jamiatul Qasim Darul Uloom -il-Islamia is an Islamic seminary in India. The Jamia was established by Mufti Mahfoozur Rahman Usmani, an Islamic scholar of India. in 1989, Indo-Nepal border, in Supaul, Bihar. The Jamia also serves as a center for National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language and National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology.There are 15 Qur'anic centres under the supervision of Jamiatul Qasim Darul Uloom -il-Islamia and 25 branches of the Jamia spread over the state of Bihar.

The Jamia Millia Islamia metro station is located on the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro which was inaugurated on 25 December 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jamia Millia Islamia is part of Phase III of Delhi Metro, on the Magenta Line.

Sarai Kale Khan Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is a major bus terminus complex in Delhi, India catering to bus services to Haryana and Rajasthan states. Built to decongest the over-crowded Kashmere Gate ISBT, which was unable to bear the increase in inter-State traffic, construction of Rs. 80-crore terminus complex began in March 1996, and it was commissioned in January 2005 though it was subsequently redeveloped to handle the increased volume of passengers. Further it is aimed to integrate with the Delhi Metro Rail link coming up near Pragati Maidan and also inter-connect the bus terminus with Nizamuddin Railway Station to cater to the rising volume of passenger traffic. Syed Abid Husain Sr. Secondary School (SAHSSS) is a self-financed school located in Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi. It falls under the jurisdiction of Jamia Millia Islamia, its parent University. When JMI shifted from Aligarh to Karol Bagh in 1925, the premises of Jamia Schools were one of the first to be built in Okhla. The school itself was founded in 1989 as a private self-financed school under Jamia Millia Islamia. Admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance examinations for classes 6th, 9th and 11th & on the basis of drawing of lots for preschool. Although the school has its own board, it follows the CBSE pattern.
