The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte (French pronunciation: [ʃato də vo lə vikɔ̃t]) is a Baroque French château located in Maincy, near Melun, 55 kilometres (34 mi) southeast of Paris in the Seine-et-Marne department of Île-de-France. Built between 1658 and 1661 for Nicolas Fouquet, Marquis de Belle Île, Viscount of Melun and Vaux, the Superintendent of Finances of Louis XIV, the château was an influential work of architecture in mid-17th-century Europe. At Vaux-le-Vicomte, the architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André Le Nôtre and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun worked together on a large-scale project for the first time. Their collaboration marked the beginning of the Louis XIV style combining architecture, interior design and landscape design. The garden's pronounced visual axis is an example of this style.

The stadium is the home ground of Régional 2 club FC Melun, and is used by several sections of Union Sportive Melunaise, a multi-sport club.The stadium has a full-size football and rugby field surrounded by a 400-meter long six-lane track and a 100-meter long eight-lane track. There are a total of 1,994 seats and 4,500 standing places. The infrastructure also has a boulodrome for playing boules.In 2010, a fire broke out at the stadium. The main stand was significantly damaged as a result.

Little village, located 39 kilometres south-east from the center of Paris, Voisenon was mainly known for its 12th century abbey, and then for its renowned local figure, Claude-Henri de Fusée de Voisenon, academician and abbot. Still dedicated to cereal growing, it now enjoys the advantages of its nearest city, Melun, while keeping a country-style atmosphere. Inhabitants of Voisenon are called Voisenonais.
