Bangladesh University (BU) (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a non-profit, private university. Its main campus is located near the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university was established in 2001 under the Private University Act 1992. The university's founder was Quazi Azher Ali, who served as first vice chancellor of the university from 2001 to 2009.

Shyamoli Textile Engineering College (STEC) is one of the private textile education schools in Bangladesh which operates under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Dhaka. Admission procedure is regulated by the university and funding is granted by the Department of Textiles, government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.A new undergraduate course of Apparel manufacturing has been introduced under National University recently.

Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh, abbreviated as HCSB, is a non-political, non-profit humanitarian organization based in Bangladesh, officially registered under the Department of Social Services in 2022. Initially established in 2015 as the 'Hafezzi Hujur (R.) Seba Songstha', it was founded in accordance with the principles of Islamic spiritual leader Muhammadullah Hafezzi and was later renamed in 2018 to its current title. It has been recognized by the Bangladesh Election Commission as an official election observer for the term from 14 September 2023 to 13 September 2028. The organization engages in a wide range of social welfare activities, including disaster relief, medical aid for the homeless, free health camps, winter clothing distribution, tube well installation, educational and vocational support for orphans, and the construction of mosques and madrasas. It also implements empowerment initiatives for marginalized groups such as androgynous individuals and disadvantaged women and provides assistance to minority and tribal communities, as well as organizing voluntary blood donation drives. Internationally, it has extended its humanitarian work to crisis-affected regions, including earthquake relief efforts in Turkey and aid operations in Gaza and refugee camps in Egypt during the Gaza war, during which some of its volunteers were reportedly killed.

Queens University or QU (Bengali: কুইন্স বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university in Bangladesh. The university was established in 1996 under the Private University Act 1992. The founder and chairperson is Hamida Banu Shova. All of its campuses are in Banani and Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university offers undergraduate and graduate education in several subjects.

Bangladesh University of Health Sciences is a private university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the first health sciences university in Bangladesh and was established by Diabetic Association of Bangladesh in 2012. Faridul Alam is the vice-chancellor of the university.

Adabar is a Thana of Dhaka District located on the bank of Buriganga river, in Bangladesh. To the north, there is Darus Salam Thana and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, to the east and south, there is Mohammadpur Thana and to the west, there is Buriganga river.

Jamia Rahmania Arabia is a Qawmi madrasa located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, and is considered one of the leading institutions of its type in the city. Although formally established at its current location in 1988, its origins trace back to internal disputes at Jamia Qurania Arabia Lalbagh, which led several teachers, including Azizul Haque and Mansurul Haque, to leave that institution. Initially, Azizul Haque and Mansurul Haque collaborated in the early development of Jamia Rahmania Arabia; however, by the late 1990s, divisions emerged between two groups of supporters. The madrasa was under the control of Mansurul Haque's supporters from 2021 to 2024, but it is currently managed by Mahfuzul Haque, son of Azizul Haque, who serves as the director.

Government Bangla College (Bengali: সরকারি বাঙলা কলেজ) is a public college located in the northwest part of the capital city of Dhaka in Bangladesh.The college was established on 1 October 1962 by Principal Abul Kashem to promote the use of the Bangla in higher education and to establish the language in all spheres of national life of Bangalis. It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.

Darus Salam Thana is a thana, an administrative unit, of Dhaka District, Bangladesh.

The Sat Gambuj Mosque (Bengali: সাত গম্বুজ মসজিদ, lit. 'Seven Domed Mosque') is a Sunni mosque and tomb complex, located near the northwestern outskirts of Dhaka in the Mohammadpur area, in the Dhaka District of Bangladesh. The mosque is a fine example of the provincial Mughal style architecture introduced in the 17th century in what is now Bangladesh. The mosque's most notable features are its seven bulbous domes crowning the roof and covering the main prayer hall. The monument stands in a romantic setting on a buttressed 4.6-metre-high (15 ft) bank overlooking an extensive flood plain. The mosque dates from the reign of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, and may have been built by the Mughal governor Shaista Khan.

Islamic Arabic University (Bengali: ইসলামি আরবি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a public university in Mohammadpur Thana of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It operates through a number of fazil (bachelor) and kamil (master) level madrasahs all over Bangladesh instead of a localized campus. The Islamic Arabic University was authorized by passage in Parliament on 18 September 2013 of the Islamic Arabic University Bill. It supervises all 1,500 fazil (bachelor) and kamil (master) level madrasas in Bangladesh. Initially it was located at the Bangladesh Madrasa Teachers' Training Institute in Gazipur.

Studio 6/6 (Bengali: স্টুডিও ৬/৬) is an art space, gallery and independent cultural venue based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Co-founded by Bangladeshi artist-printmaker Najib Tareque, Farhana Afroz and multidisciplinary artist Taiara Farhana Tareque, the studio was launched in 2015.
