Blue Eye, Albania

Muzinë (Albanian definite form: Muzina, Greek: Μουζίνα), is a village of the administrative unit of Mesopotam, Finiq, southern Albania. The village is known for its proximity to the water spring known as the Blue Eye, a popular tourist attraction. The population of Muzinë is composed of Orthodox Albanian speakers from the late Ottoman period till the late twentieth century. In the twenty first century, although Albanian is the main village language, inhabitants themselves self identify as Greek speakers and some as Greek. Muzinë has undergone extensive depopulation due to the migration of its younger population, and in the early 2020s most of its remaining inhabitants are elderly.

Krongj (Albanian: Krongji, Greek: Κρόγγι; romanized: Króggi) is a small village in Vlorë County, southern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality of Finiq. It is inhabited solely by Greeks.

Pecë (Albanian definite form: Peca; Greek: Πετσά), is a village of the administrative unit of Mesopotam, Finiq, southern Albania. Pecë is among the villages in which members of the ethnic Greek minority reside. A fieldwork of 1995 showed that it is one of the two villages, together with Muzinë, of the former Mesopotam commune that is inhabited solely by the Albanian Orthodox population, while the other villages of the commune are inhabited by the Greek community in Albania. At 1873-1874 a Greek school was operating in the village.

Kardhikaq (Albanian definite form: Kardhikaqi; Greek: Γαρδικάκι; romanized: Gardikáki) is a small village in Vlorë County, southern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality of Finiq. It is inhabited by a mix population of Greeks and Aromanians.

The Dhuvjan Monastery (Albanian: Manastiri i Dhuvjanit; Greek: Μονή Δούβιανης), also known as Monastery of Saints Quiricus and Julietta (Albanian: Manastiri i Shën Qirjakut dhe Julitës; Greek: Μονή Αγιού Κηρύκου καί Ιουλίττας), is an Eastern Orthodox monastery located in the western part of the village of Dhuvjan, Gjirokastër County, southern Albania. Founded in 1089 when the area was part of the Byzantine Empire, today it is part of the Albanian Orthodox Church.

Dhuvjan (Greek: Δούβιανη, Douviani) is a settlement in the former Dropull i Poshtëm municipality, Gjirokastër County, southern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Dropull. It is within the larger Dropull region.

At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Finiq. The population at the 2011 census was 2,786, Besides the village Mesopotam from which it takes its name and which functions as well as an administrative center, the administrative unit consists of 14 other villages: Ardhasovë, Bistricë, Brajlat, Dhrovjan, Fitore, Kardhikaq, Kostar, Kranë, Krongj, Livinë, Muzinë, Pecë, Sirakat, and Velahovë.

Janicat (Albanian definite form: Janicati; Greek: Γιαννιτσάτι or Γιαννιτσάτες) is a settlement in the Vlorë County, southwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Finiq.
