The Moraga Adobe is located at 24 Adobe Lane in Orinda, California. It was built by Don Joaquin Moraga who was the grandson of Jose Joaquin Moraga an early Spanish explorer in California who founded the city of San Jose, California. In 1835, Mexico granted 13,326 acres (5,393 ha), El Rancho Laguna de los Palos Colorados, to Joaquin Moraga and his cousin Juan Bernal. Six years later in 1841, Joaquin built this house, which is the oldest of the five surviving adobe houses in Contra Costa County. The adobe sits on a knoll at the center of the 20-acre (8.1 ha) property of what is left of the original land grant. The house has been restored and remodeled twice since it was photographed for HABS, first in 1941 when Katharine Brown White Irvine of Oakland, California purchased the old adobe, making additions such as adding three bedrooms and a veranda, and covering the adobe walls and again in 1964 when it was incorporated into a private home. The house is not accessible to the public and it is fenced off. However, it was photographed in 1922 for the Historical American Building Survey (HABS). Today, the Moraga Adobe is privately owned and unoccupied. The overall condition of the original adobe section and the more modern addition is neglected, but the building appears sound. The surrounding property was recently purchased, and the new owners have boarded up the windows to prevent vandalism and trespassing. The Moraga Adobe has been designated as a Historical Landmark by the City of Orinda and the State of California. A campaign has been started to purchase the property and restore the house to its 1848 configuration, to be used as a museum and educational site.

Moraga is a town in Contra Costa County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. The town is named in honor of Joaquín Moraga, member of the famed Californio family. As of 2020, Moraga had a total population of 16,870 people. Moraga is the home of Saint Mary's College of California.

Canyon, formerly known as Sequoya, is an unincorporated community located near the border of Contra Costa and Alameda counties, in the U.S. state of California. It is situated between Oakland and Moraga in the San Francisco Bay Area. The community is named for its location in the upper canyon of San Leandro Creek along the eastern slope of the Berkeley Hills. Canyon lies at an elevation of 1138 feet (347 m).The community is mainly traversed by Pinehurst Road and Canyon Road. The homes of the community are nestled amongst the steep, narrow private roads and footpaths that extend from the redwood groves and ferns along the creek, through the mixed live oak, bay, and madrone forests on the steep hillsides, up to the chaparral and knobcone pines that grow along the ridge.

Orion Academy is a private high school in Moraga, California, United States, for students challenged by Asperger's syndrome, nonverbal learning disorder (NLD), and other neurocognitive disabilities. It offers a special education college preparatory program for grades 9-12. The school maintains a staff-to-student ratio of 1:4 with an average class size of eight. Over 90% of its graduates attend college or post-secondary training. In 2010, there were 80 students enrolled in total. In 2017, there were 44 currently enrolled students.

The Rheem Theatre is a motion picture theater located in Moraga, California. Built in 1957 by Donald Rheem, of Rheem Manufacturing Company, it was originally a 1,000-seat single screen movie theater. It was later used as a concert venue. In 1998 it was remodeled to host four screens. In January 2018 Rheem Theatre closed its doors for what seemed to be the last time. In light of the closing, the Moraga Town Council interceded on behalf of the community, helping the owners reach an agreement with the town to re-open the theater. In April 2019, the property was purchased by Cinema West and the Town of Moraga approved a 2-auditorium addition. The theater subsequently underwent an extensive renovation, which included removal of the stage platform in the main auditorium and installation of a 60-foot screen, Dolby Atmos and reclining seats and restoration of the theater's original finishes, reopening in December 2019. In addition to hosting the premiere of The Green Book with Mahershala Ali after re-opening in 2018, there have been many notable artists that performed in Rheem including: Kansas, Johnny Cash, Chris Isaak, The Righteous Brothers, Jefferson Starship and Chubby Checker.

Rheem, also known as Rheem Valley and Rheem Center, is an unincorporated community in Contra Costa County, California, United States. It is located 7.5 miles (12 km) north-northwest of Danville, at an elevation of 587 feet (179 m). It was incorporated into the town of Moraga when that town was incorporated in 1974. The place was named after its developer, Donald Laird Rheem, one of the founders of Rheem Manufacturing Company and the son of William Rheem, President of Standard Oil Company.

Glorietta is a former unincorporated community, now annexed to Orinda in Contra Costa County, California. It lies at an elevation of 597 feet (182 m).

The Maynard Buehler House in Orinda, California is a 4,000 square feet (370 square meters) Usonian home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1948 for Katherine Z. "Katie" and Maynard P. Buehler. Since 2016 the house has been used as a venue for weddings, after being featured in Vogue magazine.

Campolindo High School is a public high school located in Moraga, California, United States, and is in the Acalanes Union High School District. In 2019, Campolindo was ranked 30th in California (and 239th nationally) by U.S. News & World Report.

Dr. Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park (formerly known as Redwood Regional Park) is a part of the East Bay Regional Parks District (EBRPD) in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is located in the hills east of Oakland. The park contains the largest remaining natural stand of coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) found in the East Bay. The park is part of a historical belt of coast redwood extending south to Leona Canyon Regional Open Space Preserve and east to Moraga.Redwood forests are more commonly found closer to the coast where the air is cool and humid year-round. In the Bay Area, such forests are found in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Marin Hills. The unique geographical circumstances of the redwood forest in Redwood Regional Park create coastal conditions. Winds funneled through the Golden Gate flow directly across the Bay and are channeled into the linear valley in which the Montclair District of Oakland is situated. This valley is also well-watered all year round and is protected from extremes of temperature and high winds.

Louis Guisto Field is a baseball venue in Moraga, California, United States. It was home to the Saint Mary's Gaels college baseball team of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference from 1928 to 2011. Named for former Gaels baseball player and coach Louis Guisto, the field has a capacity of 1,000 spectators. Before being named for Guisto, the field was known as Brother Agon Field.

Louis Guisto Field is a baseball venue in Moraga, California, USA. It is home to the Saint Mary's Gaels baseball team of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference. Opened in 2012, the venue replaced the old Louis Guisto Field (the location of which was behind the third base line of the new facility) as the home of Saint Mary's baseball. Like the old facility, it is named for former Saint Mary's baseball player and coach Louis Guisto. The field opened on February 17, 2012, when Saint Mary's defeated Southern Utah 2–1 in front of 1,100 fans. Former Major League pitcher Tom Candiotti (Saint Mary's Class of 1979) threw out the honorary first pitch.Following the 2012 season, construction on the facility will enter its second phase. During this period, a grandstand with a capacity of 1,500 spectators will be added. The old facility will be razed, and a building housing a swimming pool, team offices, and training rooms will be built in its place.
